If I only had one I probably wouldn't trade to be honest, there are times when the conditions regarding a specific pair will make it too risky and unclear to trade which means you could be sitting on the sidelines for weeks or worse months, so if I was limited to just one currency pair forever I would rather put those funds I was planning to trade with into a passive fund or retirement account.
