For someone who used to toy with 300++ speed, then plays a bruiser comp and actually climbs some good pts... really made me realize that I need to step up my drafting game and moreover general knowledge of the game indeed, like comp anticipation, how the game will play out, target priority, etc. Educational indeed.
I did not expect Abellio to live. I didn't expect you to draft Eivor away from me either lol I tanked on t1 trying to decide what to do with woosa, then brain melted and hit eivor instead of Abelio with Seara's s1. You were basically reading off most of my decisions afterwards, and it sounds like we had the exact same curve of thought when it was Eivor vs Haegang + Woosa at the end. I didn't consider the shield math from Shizuka on Abellio until it was too late. I think I made at least 3 decisions in the first turn cycle that cost me the game, and it ate at me because I *knew* it was going to be on video lol
@@ApzeTV I really appreciate the new content - in particular this video. You're well known for the faster cleave style, and it's remarkably refreshing to see you go through the thought process required for a slower team. I wholeheartedly agree people get obsessed with speed and forget about the fundamentals of drafting mechanics, and why things work the way they do. It's hard to build a counter to a draft when they get to use their 5 best sets every game, and you are using sets 10-15 because they are the correct monsters for the draft. This gets translated as "higher rune requirements for fast teams", but it's more truthful to say "higher rune requirements to pick 1 team over and over again" I intend to do very detailed written draft breakdowns for Reddit on 1 draft at a time to go through these intereractions in detail, but I absolutely love this content.
really nice vid! i try to use cleaves all the time, rn on my peak got c2 only but its hard to cleave tbh, i run a double strip moore chiwu for spd leads and tiana swift cd when i see no spd draft on the other side then a mix of cc and damage with asima verad X, asima swift will spd cd hp and verad vio will on spd cd def, i sometimes run as X spot savanah ritesh ken posi or whatever i feel like fits but my problem is that on third pick they already start picking jose juno abelio giou camila and i feel like i cant draft anything to escape that, any recomendations? asima cadiz are my only ld5 so cadiz is not getting used rn and i focus on enjoying asima pd: all my units except verad are swift will / swift nem
If they’re going turn 2 like that, usually the play (if you don’t also want to pivot to bruiser) is to pick single target snipe type units like daphnis, fire kassandra, sonia. You can also try Zima now as he counters a lot of those types of units as well.
Ur turn 2 speed quality is faster than like 1/3 of my units now im feeling like i sont have the runes or units for rta yet even tho ive got sub1min teams on all caiross n most dhole + toa hell 30* so im definitely moving into pvp stage of the game lmao;-;
What i liked about this video is you don't need to contest speed, i liked it so much i have just built similar, including free to play dark abuser Veramos lol + 161 speed violent revenge, artifacts damage taken from fire - 17% other artifact crit dmg taken - 10% recovery +4% recovery +8% ha, ha, ha + 25,000 HP I have a Light Daniel, no one ever uses a Daniel, let alone pick ban him lol So you may have climbed higher today, not because you lacked speed just others were speedier, and you out thought them on the battlefield. Hope you enjoy your time at EU summoners war. Instead of pick ban, may bee pick a monster first they cannot ban, mine would bee the Leo. Have fun Peter RILEY ha,ha,ha i have already made it into the game
I thought about using him, but I was trying to avoid using RNG activation style monsters as much as possible, even Antares, just to make the results more consistent.
@@erkkadzai8226 ya, mostly tried to stay away from % activations that weren’t rune based. I almost put wind monkey in due to the consistent damage reduction passive though.
