Man this guy has all the talent on the world. You'd get lost looking in those eyes. Unfortunately people like that always have the most troubled souls.
I honestly think that he wanted to be a "troubled person". He would be too bored to be without drugs. And remember, world fame at the age of 13, huge salary--it will go to everyone's "head", if you know what I mean...
Edward such a great guy and good actor, he had an amazing list of character he's played throughout the 90's, was in all time great films. Man time flies by, he is 21 years of age in this interview and now he's 45, but l still love him and love most of his movie, just always rooting for him.
So true a very powerful movie and to think they are people to this day getting lost in Race hate, this movie teaches that its all Bullshit and a waste of time.
My room used to be covered in posters of Eddie furlong. I was even that geek that signed up for the fan club. I bought every teen magazine he was on the cover of. Despite the drugs and past troubles, he's still an incredibly talented guy. We all go through things in life and often end up on detour paths we never would have imagined. I think the relationship with his tutor probably fueled a lot of what came after. As we know, society tends to look at inappropriate relationships between grown women and young boys differently because America = love of patriarchy. One of the first things I learned about Edward was he shares my dad's birthday which means he's a Leo. If you know anything about August Leo's, I think you'll find you understand him more than you thought. I hope he continues with sobriety. I'd love to see him in another movie again someday. ❤
Extremely talented, intelligent lost soul then. Think he's past that now and recent interviews I just been watching, he's pile the weight on but seems a lot happier 🤟
Dang what a hunk. He was such a beautiful young man and very nice person. He had these Faraway eyes dreamy. Seem like very relaxed and confident and charming. Seems very humble and childlike to. I wonder if he realized just how special he was. You couldn't hear him as well as you heard the interviewer. I have to say he interviewed very well he knows exactly what to say and in a decent manner.
Unfortunately external beauty is oftentimes nature’s way of disguising a person’s internal turmoil. I’m aware that Edward Furlong, himself, spoke out about constantly being typecast as the archetypal sad character, so much so that director John Waters actually approached him asking if he could actually even smile. When he saw that he could, Waters subsequently cast Furlong in his 1998 movie, Pecker, right then and there. I’ve always followed Furlong’s career and rooted for him both on and offscreen. I hope he continues his winning streak in terms of his battle against addiction and manages to keep his frown upside down.
Some background on what Bobbie Wygant asked Edward Furlong about Tony Kaye... American History X was budgeted for $20 million. Before the film's release, Kaye disagreed with the film studio about the final cut of the film. The final version was longer than Kaye intended, which resulted in him publicly disowning the film; thus negatively affecting his directing career.
@@robd1329 Me too lol. What a kind person he seems to be and his teeth turned out great! Makes me sad what he had to go through in Hollywood as a child.
what a fcking babe. he was so hot in american history x....i know, controversial stuff to be saying outloud and im not a fan of nazis thats not what im saying... but jesus christ he was really good looking. hes good looking now too...dont get it twisted..he still has it and anyone who says he doesnt, doesnt know what the hell theyre talking about...Im so happy to hear things have gotten better for him recently. i think he life was difficult...and i know a thing or two about self destruction. Im so happy he's better.
Norton and Furlong were the best two for these roles. You can loathe and sympathize with them and their performances felt so real and so raw. Instead of teaching kids woke rubbish in schools, they should make them watch this movie. This really is the ultimate lesson about how hate perpetuates when someone doesn’t accept and/or forgives.
This is like a year before he started to use drugs. I know he's been clean for a longer while now and I wish him all the health and strength. If he really got everything back together, like health and fitness wise etc. who knows, maybe we'll see him in some big role before he calls it a career.
Man i was surprised to see him in this video...he looked Great! I saw a video of him getting new teeth due to his years of drugs...man he looks fat now
My God. He's so sad. "NOT BAD" and then "I am happy, happy with that". Probably that was the moment when ha had the confirmation that they dropped him from T3.
he was being molested by a 29 yo woman since he was a young teen right in front of everyone news and hollywood completely cosigned it calling it a "relationship"
Danny is my favorite character. And this is my favorite film ever. He doesn’t look very comfortable. He also looks high, drunk or something. I know he struggled with that. I used to too. Still neat to watch though. So Norton talked to skinheads and Furlong did not want to. Interesting. I guess I can understand why. I am black and fucking hate them. Lol, he didn’t need to either. He and Norton’s acting was good.
Skinheads are pratically non-existant in general society. They may be in the prisons and jails but I never see them in places around Southern California.
@@JamesRichards-mj9kw why did you get so worked up about someone who did nothing to you? he didn't ruin the movie and he wasn't a bad actor. I loved every second of watching his performance.
I think it would have been cool to see him in a Terminator 3 film around this time, James Cameron as the director, instead of the other lameduck movies that came after T2.
Eddie had so much potential. Unfortunately, this may have been his peak and it was a steep decline after this due to his drug use. It’s a cliche but it’s very true. Drugs destroy people.
Wow film would have been crushed in today's sjw woke anti-culture. Glad it was able to tackle such a difficult topic at a time society was more emotionally mature in general.
Smoking is the same bad as heroin. Better to take weed sometimes and then stop it completely. I was fat as Edward, but not that fat, its took me 6 year to came back into a normal fit. Only spot exercises after 30 can save your life in future and you have to stop drugs and beer for sure
Edward Furlong (Glendale, California; 2 de agosto de 1977), registrado al nacer como Edward Walter Furlong es un actor estadounidense conocido por haber protagonizado Terminator 2: El juicio final y American History X.
I can understand why he had so much trouble to find a place for him to be surrounded by people of wich he would fit in. He's so akward and off when I see him interacting like this. I just wished for him he had some help around this time. At least he came around nowadays.....
He got introduced to drugs. He was cute back then. Now he's a mess it's so sad.ill say it's not worth being in the industry it takes you in fills you up with all narcotics it's horrible. Hopefully he's clean now
This dude had everything to build a career like few can. Drugs suck. Makes you wonder how other people who started in the business at a similar age managed to keep their integrity untouched, like Emma Watson and Lily Collins.
@@JamesRichards-mj9kw very first person I´ve seen commenting such thing about the guy. It´s clear he is not River Phoenix or Montgomery Clift, but he wasn´t a crappy actor like Adam Sandler or Taylor Lautner.
Yes, the more a person put his faith on Jesus, and repent from sin. The more he could feel the positive power from jom. At least Jesus could change our mind yo be morr positive and happier as he is light
Famous Hollywood guy becomes a junkie, dopes himself to death, they call him a 'beautiful eyed lost soul'. When I become a junkie, dopes myself to death they call me a 'loser and bum'.
