I've always thought this scene was the funniest in the book, and you've made it even funnier. These videos work so well because in this society so much was left unsaid, and you have to fill it in and imagine for yourself what they are thinking.
Oh my gosh! I’ve got to watch this version. I like this Edward so much more than Hugh Grant. I mean he was funny but he seemed to lack a spine. At least Dan Stevens did Ferrars credit in this scene.
Is this a film or a miniseries? This is the first time I'm hearing of Dan Butler appearing in SENSE and SENSIBILITY. He does make a fine Edward. His blank looks are so like Hugh Grant's. When was this made?
These videos are hilarious, but on a serious note, Edward was a good guy. He fell in love with Elinor after having already been engaged to Lucy, but to maintain Lucy's honour and be true to his word he was willing to give up his own feelings. glad they didn't end up together though
