Essa faal is doing a great job. How can Edu denied 4 witnesses against him. And he give them the command. now how can he be standing behind I can't recall 😀. I think Mr faal should allow the witness to explain more so that Gambian can understand more,because this is not only about mr faal and Mr singhateh but for the all Gambian to know the truth.But anyway thanks to Mr faal for the good work we really appreciate it.
If he allowed him the shift would definitely going to grab the points which would help him by convincing people in order to believe him. Remember is possible the more he explain the more he guides himself. Every simple questions he is ready to expand it. That's why he's always in a shoe for further explanation

I think The question to the Witness should be rather direct, like asking him to testify whether he attacked and beat anyone and whom if his answer is Yes!
I can understand the frustration of some people as regards the line of questioning. As lead counsel, Essa does not have to be hostile to any witness. Edward is been given a long rope to hang himself. Collective responsibility means he is equally guilty like any other person. Taking into account his position in the junta, it is obvious that they (The Junta) were the ones directing orders. He is trying to be clever but instead all the ingredients of guilt are present for him to be prosecuted. Trying to be cool and charismatic is no way out for him. Finally what do you expect from him. He will not be truthful to the facts already known.
This is a truth finding commission. Essa Faal should be patient and allow Eduward to narrate his side of the story clearly as he did to Sanna Sabally. Witnesses do not have to answer the question the way Essa Faal wants but to answer correctly. I find some of his actions unprofessional and unnecessary.
Ma Konteh absolutely agree with you. It sometimes feels like a courtroom and him Essa a prosecutor. As you mentioned it’s a fact finding mission and as such do not ask them to give you close ended answers.
Mr faal allow Mr Singhateh to explain and don't interrupt his explanation please... You have to remember that you are asking the witness issues of 25years ago. So don't expect him to say direct YES or NO without explanation.... please be patient...thanks
We're NOT saying that Mr. Singhateh is telling the truth or lies... We are only asking Mr. Faal to allow him to explain even if Faal feels that Mr. Singhateh is not telling the truth... After all the commission will only take the points that might help the trrc... We just need to hear him out...

That's the same thought that came to me when I heard he's become a Lawyer. Funny though, how such Sadistic blood hungry remorseless Savages like him think they can swindle the Justice System and evade at all cost,their own Conscience and thereby the Guilt they bear, which they pretty well know is impossible ? ! One can even see it from his uneasiness, that he's trembling inside and grappling to come to terms of the ramifications emanating from his guiltiness and not showing genuine remorse. So, what is the point of getting to the facts. It’s not only answering in a yes or no form. Let the man speak and then the commission can make a decision based on all information received.
Disappointed in the manner Essa is conducting this whole thing and the tone of his voice. You cannot force anyone to say what you want to hear based on your preconceived notion. Ask the right questions and let the commission determine the truth based on the answers the witnesses give.
Sol Faati exactly my sentiments. Feels like he’s putting words into his mouth. This is a fact finding mission and not a prosecutorial process yet. It sometimes looks like he is prosecuting these witnesses.
Yeah very unprofessional of him. Because he should conduct the hearing with open and he should not be sentimental because being truthful is not attached to the number of people who said the same thing. I am not supporting anyone and I totally against any form of illegal activities of any kind to towards people but what is true is if only one person said it and then rest of the whole said the opposite so the TRRC should try to be very impartial.

Haruna Bah the only issue that I have with Essa, is the fact that the same thing he advised Edward not to do while he speaks is what he is doing, talking over him. This is a fact finding mission and so any given fact by these witnesses is important to the process. Let the witnesses complete sentences in giving their statements.
@justice jay, can you just sincerely be honest and tell whether what he was doing was professional it wasn't at all, let the witness speak and don't try to put words in his mouth.. He was tryna make edu admit the crimes even though he denied he haven't committed them he was tryna put allegations on him which wasn't a professional approach to the witness
