My own personally theory on that Felix doesnt actually 'think' exactly when fighting, he just reacts, his real 'talent' is his combat instincts, physically he is as strong as Emmett and fast as Edward which is dangerous enough but his real skill (as you say) is reading his opponent, however i dont think he does this conciously, therefore he doesnt give off any thoughts that Edward can read or react to and since Edward somewhat relies on his gift Felix has the perfect counter
Felix rivals Jasper in combat skills, he is as strong as Emmett and as fast as Edward. If Jasper,Edward and Emmett fought Felix together maybe they would have a chance to kill him.
Felix is my favorite of all the Volturi guards, it would be amazing to see him and Emmit fight or Felix and Jasper because Emmit is the strongest of the Cullen’s Nd Jasper has the most combat experience out of them, in my opinion Felix would’ve been the last Vampire standing in BD2 he could’ve easily beat everyone they would’ve had to jump Felix for him to lose. He is extremely strong, fast asf, has quick reflexes Nd let’s not forget he is a beast at combat
I agree Felix would’ve been the hardest to kill but not the last one to die Aro was. As to jump him they should’ve tackled keeping Felix still Benjamin can punch his head off then all them would tour Felix apart and Sam had his hand in his mouth but it didn’t show Felix getting killed on screen.
As strong and as fast as Felix is it looks like it's really his instinctive hand to hand skills that make him fight as if he's more powerful than he really is.
I must say it, Felix owned Edward even Edward was fast, but Felix managed to keep Edwards speed and countered him. One more thing I never thought that Edward manage to beat Emmet in a training, but Felix defeated Edward so easily.
0:20 Edward gets a brain bleed from that hit on the back of the head that would kill any human, but in a about 2 seconds he's healed and ready to fight again.
good fight scene. People tend to forget that because of his sorrow to Bella, Edward has malnourished himself in the days and months prior to this fight, so he was not in peak condition
DarthSparhawk He wasn't THAT malnourished. When Felix chokeslams him, look at his eyes. They're that color of golden yellow that "vegetarian" vampires get when they feed on animals. And its explained that their eyes darken the more they thirst and go without feeding, so it's clear that he has fed recently, or at least within a certain amount of time that hasnt been long enough for his eyes to darken with hunger. So he isnt really malnourished, Felix is just considerably older (therefore much stronger, not to mention they feed on humans so thats even more of an advantage), and an excellent hand to hand fighter. And Felix doesn't think when he fights, just reacts... So theres no way for edward to read his mind and predict his moves because Felix isnt thinking about what hes gonna do before he does it, he just does it.
@@agnikaineverdies7646 in all the vampire lore not movies a vampir eis way more powerfull in his older form this world of vampire in this show is a mess
Felix is a dawg the way he was able to consecutively counter Edward and him being the fastest of his coven screams how well trained the voltouri guard is
This is what annoyed me about the progression of the fight scenes throughout the movies. This fight in New Moon was great because it was DIFFERENT, it wasn't your average punch,it really portrayed the book about the vampires speed, power and the training of the Volturi Guard. Then in BDPt2 the battle scene never really showed any of that. The Cullens still would have lost in a hand to hand fight because the Guard are all as trained like Felix. Really annoyed me to be honest. Rant over. ;)
Kieran Jones no not all of them. You tend to forget that Jane and Alec are the volturis primary weapons and are part of their invincibility. 2 the Cullen's had a lot of key players on their side like Bella and the wolves who don't need to know how to hand to hand to kill a vampire. 3 most of the volturi team were just witnesses not in their coven itself they were only there to testify. Finally if you're talking about felix he alone can't solo the entire team if he tried.
Yes Edward can read the opponent's mind, but if u want to know why he couldn't do a shit to Felix is because Felix is too fast for him. I mean Edward did read his mind, but Felix was fast and he can counter every moves from Edward and beat him with ease. Do not forget about Felix superior strength, super counter moves and he has also speed, and that's why he could beat him so easily with those combination power. Hes always one step ahead or several step ahead the opponent.
Because Edward doesn’t have that much strength, other vampires are stronger than him, as he’s fast at running, Edward is the fastest vampire in the whole twilight series. He can run more than a thousands miles, no can see him run. If he was strengthfull , his speeding would be a little slower than how he is. To much weight can slow your energy down.
Because Felix is way stronger than him, way more savage and way more skilled. The Volturi keep him as one of their guards because Felix is the most powerful vampire they have ever encountered. Nobody in the entire series can beat Felix in a 1v1 fight.
felix talent lies in his fighting abilities and physical strength relying on the latter mostly being the physically strongest vampire in the series. no matter how good anyone else is in physical combat he will always remain one or most likely several steps ahead of them he can also anticipate his opponent's moves to counterattack them coupled with his large size and muscular build he is known as the most physically powerful vampire the volturi have ever discovered always able to think several steps ahead of anyone he fights and never loses in battles he is mainly the executor
Maybe the movie series could have been a lot better with a lot more action scenes? You know, instead of music videos, action scenes... some creative licenses?
One more thing, if Edward tried to counter Felix, then Felix would not allowed it, cause of his super strength and speed, if u look again at 0:40 to 1:02....... then u know why Edward failed to counter Felix, but Felix was faster with reflexes, so Edward could not read his mind so easily.

Yeah I agree with u, I thought Edward could win, but he got his ass kicked by Felix so easily. Yeah, Felix has faster counter, but I think Edward is a little bit faster with dodging and running away than Felix, so yeah.
Ye i know about Felix being extremely strong and he's got a lot more experience, it just seems a bit to easy for him in my opinion. Also, isn't Edward supposed to be very fast, even by vampire standards? So i take it you mean Felix has faster reflexes not faster at moving around?
