Edwards Ironworker Brake 

The die block is notched deeper for thicker materials. I made a DIY Press Finger Brake for my pneumatic/hydraulic shop press. I would never attempt what this thing can do but.. Question: Scientifically speaking is the depth of each notch equal to the thickness of the material? (looks like much more) Or would one double it (roughly) ? Perhaps it is the width of the cut out that is the secret here? I think this would solve some issue I am having with 1/4" plate and just under.

Now imagine this you're trying to be very accurate or specific on your Benz these proxy switches unfortunately are such an inhibitor of doing that properly. They're so inaccurate for adjusting and a minut level it's pathetic. This is not the machine you want. Trust me I'm looking at the 60-ton here in my shop. Say Edwards if you want me to quit bashing you buy this piece of junk from me at what I paid for it instead of giving me the runaround with all your so-called excellent standards. Piranha, Geka are far superior machines and they don't freaking radius a piece of angle iron when you cut it. Etc etc on and on so forth It's a good chopping tool, but it's not that good if you've got standards in metal working.
