I Need To Pray Lead By: Lynette Hawkins Stephens along with The Love Center Choir... From the album entitled Edwin Hawkins Live with The Oakland Symphony Orchestra
I took my mother to this concert and she and I both really enjoyed the show. This song by Lynette was the one I enjoyed the most. You had to be there to really feel the energy. It was fantastic!
Dr. Edwin Hawkins was in my heart The MASTER of Contemporary Gospel Music. He wrote Scripture based Songs of which are endlessly relevant. Remembering him with much love and respect in lieu of his Heavenly Departure one year ago yesterday. Blessings 🙏🏽
Lynette moves me know matter what she sings, i love anything Tramaine sings too, but Lynettes voice takes the Octaves i like the most, Anointed Hawkins Family.
I lived a few miles to Love Center Church in Oakland. The church was a store front for years. The first album was a good start. The church choir appeared in the Malls. Refreshing! I knew one of the first cousins Sheila Matthews.
I am back on September 13, 2022 and I am still praying. I feel so alone during these difficult times and I've put my trust in God Almighty because I know the RAPTURE is soon to come on the earth.
That horn section sound was sooo angelic and anointed. Nobody had a unmatched and original sound like The Hawkins Family, who influenced so many who came after them!❤
Gafternoon. I'm from Philadelphia an I would like to say that I love how the lord Jesus christ used 🙏 you're family. God blessed this family's with a gift of glory 🙏. Love 💘 this family
She went through an illness that I believe affected her voice. If you notice when she sings now it isn't just her range that appears to be affected. I believe it was also the passing of Walter Hawkins her brother that deeply affected her.
yeah, this is a younger SANGIN Lynette, lol. She used all of her voice, nobody like her..she reminds me of their cousin Elaine Kelley! Similar drive, voice texture...stone singers! Heard Lynette recently and tho range has changed, she still has it.
@@quanneyislaughable4360 The Clark Sisters are around the same age and they sing the same song in the same key for almost 45 years now. Getting old isn't an excuse to me. Now I read she has had illness and I have even heard her speak about she and Edwin having health issue. That may explain it better.
I have 2 questions: 1) what section did Lynette sing in: soprano or alto? 2) this is really silly, but when I witness caucasian men in old school videos with hair like the gentleman at 3:34, I wonder are they mixed and if not how do they get their hair to look like that? If it is just a wig, and it looks like it is, then I may find that even more surprising
