36 people don’t understand what good music is. The music of the Eels has pulled me back from the brink more than once. I wouldn’t be as strong as I am today without their music, nor would my own songs be as honest as they are. The Eels and E are a fabulous secret. Whenever I mention I love them, I either get "I've never heard of them" or "MY GOD!!! I LOVE THEM" as a response. Hahaha... Not too many hit singles because they are fantastically and brilliantly honest. Thanks to E. He retains so much integrity and so does whichever band he plays with. Thanks, guys, for beautiful, soft, bummer rock... Lots of people who've suffered desperate loss in their lives relate to every song you write and play. X
