It’s changed so much since I was there last year ;-; I remember Mr. Yohan Kim (School director) told me about the new building when I was saying goodbye on my last day... I promised him, Oh 선생님 and the others that I would come back and see it. I miss the school and the teachers/employees so so so much! Best month of my life💕💕💕

Shopa Pa You can go there knowing nothing, but I highly recommend you to at least know the basics such as the alphabet and how to read/write and greetings and the number systems. It makes it so that you can get the most out of your stay. If you don’t have to spend time going over the basics, you learn a lot more and faster as well. TheDanagames I was there for 1 month (wish it was longer, but it was what I could afford) and I can’t give you a specific number on how much my Korean improved, but it improved a lot! I went from not having any confidence in my spoken Korean to having casual conversation with the elderly man in the convenience store around the corner of where I stayed and asking, sometimes very, complex questions to strangers. It really is worth going to get better at Korean and the memories are something I cherish every day

just an update from the info I’ve gotten. The trip is still on track, but some modifications have been made due to COVID-19. Just some changes in housing and other things that won’t affect the academic side. I think we’re all gonna be staying in dorms rather than host families after a short quarantine, the length depends on how much the whole situation improves in both SK and your home country. If u haven’t gotten info yet, just reach out to EF they’ve been really helpful to me Edit: Spelling cuz I can’t spell at all in English and yet I’m still gonna go abroad to learn a new language. F

Hangul (Korean) is actually easy to learn. I will not lie to you. When I decided to start learning Korean, I found myself thinking that it will be a challenge. But then I learned that once you know the language, you will not have any trouble at all. Japanese and Chinese are harder to learn. I want to go to South Korea, Seoul EF when I finish my studies in high school if I have enough money. If I don't then I want to work hard to earn a lot and then contact EF to ask questions about what the best budget is since I don't like expensive stuff. I'm slowly remembering the Korean alphabet. Tip, (for example) the Hangul letter g looks like a gun. I found a video once where the person explains letters and how can you remember them.

It is possible to make Korean friends, but few people know English well. However, you will definitely be able to find a friend among foreign Koreans. Also at school you will definitely make friends

Hello there. You can study at EF Seoul without any previous language knowledge, since there are separate groups for beginners. At EF, accommodation is always included in the package price. But then there are different types of accommodation that cost extra, if for example you want a single room etc. I recommend you to call your nearest EF office to find out more about the different alternatives. That’s what I though too tbh. I’m absolutely everything but rich, and I’m going for two to three months. EF has an ambassador progam which allows you to save points to get a reduction in your travel/holiday. I’m paying almost my entire travel/holiday with those points :)

From some countries, EF organizes group travel to Seoul for students from age 13 - please call your nearest EF office and ask them if they offer it in your countries. For students traveling individually, the program is open to students from the age of 16. Good luck with your plans! Matt @EF RU-vid Team

Yes there are some Japanese students. But also students from the rest of Asia, Europe, Latin America, North America... well, from many countries in the world really.
