On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

@@bahe57only in DCS. Real life pilots who flew F-15/F-16/F-18 or EF Typhoon had much respect for the F-35. They said the F-35 is in WVR a combination of the F-16 (acceleration and agility) and F-18 (high aoa fighter).

@@bahe57 US Marine Corps Maj. Dan Flatley- "If I went out and fought an F/A-18 on day one I’d get destroyed," said Flatley. "But if you do what the jet is really good at, you can do things those other jets wouldn’t dream of." I believe that the F-35C would have a great chance of winning. In GS's most recent F-35 video it got a 2:1 kill ratio on a MiG-29 (The MiG-29 has maneuverability comparable to a Hornet). Plus, F-35 pilots say it can point its nose at the enemy as well or better than the Hornet.

@@Mav09older blocks have G limits etc why they suck. Block 3F gave the F-35a/c 9G capability, higher AoA and similar acceleration and agility - despite its max speed is capped. All gen 4.5 pilots who had experience with the F-35 were more than impressed. In Red Flag exerciseses the F-35 won in a2a engagents with 20:1. This demonstrates its capability clearly. The F-35 is not my favourite but it will kill the Super Bug, Viper & Co easily.

Props to the eurofighter driver. Excellent control of his aircraft in a very unfavorable series of engagements. Impressed with his evasives. And he got a star of his own on the fuselage. GS, that was some bright sunlight in that first engagement, yeah? I will say that pull out from parking the F-22 onto the street was a dicey moment. "70k lbf, don't fail me now!"

Originally, the only purpose of the canards was to move the neutral point forward, making the aircraft highly unstable. They pushed the technology to its limits, with the flight computer operating at its maximum capacity. How do I know? The former chief aerodynamicist of the EF2000 program is my professor at university.

The Lightweight and small size definitely give the Eurofighter some ability to not get face rolled by the Raptor. Also at 15:08 he was probably saying "You cant even kill a dying man!"

GS has really improved his gunning! His pilot skills were great from the first videos but it got often frustrating when he pulled the trigger too late. Now he really saws the other aircraft in half, pulling the trigger earlier

Probably because I was playing a lot with EF2000 on DOS, but I love the Eurofighter and I'm happy to see it could make hard times for an unwary Raptor pilot. Kudos to Break3r7 for make this challengeful, great fight! Maybe the same, but BVR/fox2 fight could be interesting too, especially with Meteor and the trickshot capable fox2 :)

I’m consistently amazed now at how well animated the damage and crash flight dynamics are modelled now. I’d love to see a video re-enacting older fights in a newer engine to see how much better these animations are than just a few years ago. Personally I’ve been into sims since playing MSFS 1.0 from a dual 360KB floppy drive setup on an original IBM PC back in 1984; and to be able to play DCS in VR now is so incredible.

Presenting a thin profile also puts your lift vector perpendicular to your opponent's bore axis. It puts your strongest maneuvering axis in it's best line for climbing over the nose or trying to go under their bore.

5:08 - doing the two-circle over that pipeline or whatever is a great visual aid. Because if you showed a full revolution - or even 1/2 - you can see where each aircraft is on that line relative to the other and see who's getting around it faster.

I don't usually enjoy these dogfights nearly as much as the mission scenarios and bvr fights, but man, this was something special. Mad props to both pilots, as well as both aircraft. The F-22 is, without a doubt, the deadliest thing in the sky, and one of the prettiest besides, but anyone who thinks that the Eurofighter is anything but an absolute MONSTER is sorely misguided. Love that aircraft.

It always depends on the pilots. But before the METEOR appeared, against the Raptor at BVR the EF2000 was only a victim. But in a dogfight the Typhoon was and is a beast.

EF did well playing like a rat, lasted longer than I expected when you were always on his tail. Definitely want to see it against the Rafale since I usually think of both in tandem.

I had an idea for a video. A test of the AMRAAMs range. Get in an F-15C, climb to angels 60 or higher at Mach2+. Have a few of your buddies doing racetrack patterns at various distance/altitude. Like starting at 40 miles and angels 40 or so, and keep dropping their altitudes the further they get, all the way out to 100+ miles. Don’t have them defend, just see if you can score a hit. The Eagle can definitely get that high and fast, and the missiles should be able to continue maneuvering after running out of gas. Thoughts?

Great fight. The way the EF turns like other canards is like from the nose first, whereas the F22 is from the back. It makes for these wide and sometimes unpredictable sweeping vectors. I guess that’s what makes it so slippery.

Do more videos using the Eurofighter, its such a cool plane, you should pilot it though since you have very few videos in it. The Rafale would also be a welcome addition to videos on the channel versus or better, you piloting it since you tend to not use the European fighters often. Would love to see a Bandit Unknown NATO only but you're in either the Rafale or Eurofighter.
