JR東日本が初めて発注した電気機関車、EF510-501の甲種輸送です。
（現在JR東日本で使用している電気機関車は、すべて国鉄型らしいです。）
兵庫県の川崎重工を前日に出発しました。
EF510はJR貨物が開発した交直流機関車で、日本海縦貫線で貨物列車を牽引しています。
2007年に、JR7社の共同企画による特別列車の客車を牽引した実績があります。
JR東日本の2008年12月2日付けの公式発表によると、｢カシオペア｣「北斗星」の寝台列車牽引用のEF81を置き換える目的で、EF510を15両新造する予定だそうです。
寝台特急北斗星とカシオペアの動画も添えました。
北斗星は青色の客車で、カシオペアは銀色です。
事前に特に調べて行ったわけではなかったのですが、私が撮影したときは、なぜかカシオペア用の黄色い機関車が北斗星を牽いてくることが比較的多かったです。
北斗星は、赤い機関車で牽引するのが普通です。
おまけで、常磐線207系900番台さよなら運転もあります。
ところで、「あけぼの」もEF81だったような気がするのですが、あけぼの今後の動向については分かりません。

這是爲了牽引JR東日本的臥鋪特急北斗星號及仙后座號列車，川崎重工業製造的。
現在還在行駛的EF81型就要退役了。
這些列車是臥舖特快的北斗星號和仙后座號。
它們都是在東京的上野和北海道的札幌之間行駛的。
從上野車站到札幌車站有1214.7公里。
北斗星號是藍色，而且有點舊的列車。
仙后座號既銀色又豪華，而且是比較新的雙層列車。
今年的3月，牽引這些列車的EF81機車打算換成EF510機車，所以最近很多的鐵路迷都在拍這些列車。
The Hokutosei (北斗星) and The Cassiopeia (カシオペア)are limited express sleeping car train services in Japan.
The Cassiopeia is the most laxury train of the JR East and JR Hokkaido companies.
I think its fare is very expensive, so I have not ever ridden it.
They run between Ueno Station in Tokyo and the city of Sapporo in Hokkaidō.
They are hauled by a EF81 dual-voltage electric locomotive between Ueno and Aomori.
EF81 will be replaced with EF510 this year, because EF81 is very old.
The first locomotive, EF510-501 was delivered from the Kawasaki Heavy Industries factory in Hyogo Prefecture to Tabata Tokyo.

On 2 December 2008, East Japan Railway Company (JR East) announced that it was ordering 15 EF510 locomotives to replace its fleet of EF81 locomotives used to haul Cassiopeia and Hokutosei overnight sleeping car trains. These locomotives will enter service from spring 2010, with the first locomotive scheduled to be delivered in December 2009. This marks the first order of locomotives by any of the JR passenger companies since privatization. The new locomotives are expected to cost around 400 million yen each. The first locomotive, EF510-501 was delivered from the Kawasaki Heavy Industries factory in Hyogo Prefecture on 18 December 2009, arriving at Tabata Depot in Tokyo on 19 December. Livery is blue with gold lining and shooting star logo.
