Very Informative. By increasing only pressure and keeping the same SH temperature, Total Enthalpy decreases. 44 Bar - 400 deg C = 3205 KJ/kg and 64 Bar 400 deg C = 3168 KJ/kg. Please explain how the efficiency increases? Until we get it at the cost of wet steam at LP stages.

I HAVE ONE QUESTIONS THAT, IN BFP THERE IS BOOSTER PUMP TO MAINTAIN SUCTION PR. OF BFP BUT WHY THERE IS SEPARATE ARRANGEMENT? WHY WE NOT INCREASE BFP STAGE WORKING LIKE BOOSTER PUMP?
BFP is costly pump..we can't take risk of cavitation at its suction so function of booster pump is to increase pressure of suction water (more NPSH) and then feed it to BFP for suction

As we know when steam enters in turbine then steam pressure and temperature decrease in subsequent stage, at exist of HPT pressure is if 28kg/cm2 and temp is 340°C, directly send to boiler for rise in steam temperature, and we also know that boiler works on Isobaric heat addition means pressure remain constant in boiler that's why only temperature increase pressure remain same.
