Are you a teacher struggling to make the end of the school day less chaotic and a more joyful experience for your kindergarten or first grade students? In this video, I’ll share tried-and-true tips and tricks for setting up a smooth and joyful end-of-day routine that will leave your students with smiles on their faces and you a little less exhausted.
🔑In this video covers the following key points:
-Give Yourself Enough Time: We'll emphasizes the importance of allocating 15 to 20 minutes at the end of the day to ensure a smooth and joyful transition.
-Build Community and Relationships: Learn how to transition into the end of day routine that students can do independently while working as a community.
-Clean-Up and Tidying Up: Discover how I used music cues to signal when it's time to clean up the classroom, emphasizing the importance of tidying up and involving students in keeping the classroom clean.
-Gradual Release: We'll explains how to release students gradually when it's time to stack chairs, collect belongings, and return to their seats to minimize chaos and ensure everyone's safety.
-Check-In and Reflection: See how I encouraged students to share their experiences and feelings about their day, focusing on the positive and the lessons learned. I hope you like the chant we used to help encourage each other during those hard days.
-Say Goodbye with a Song: Learn how Angie uses a cheerful goodbye song to send her students home with a smile on their faces. I hope you like the song we used at the end of the day. Let me know if you use something like this song in your classroom.

🌺 You are amazing Ms Angie, you crack me up. 😂🤣 I love your video editing! You’re so good at transferring that classroom attention grabbing skill to your video instruction creations. Love it! And look 👀 at you on your way to 20K subs. Hitting that teacher friend nerve every time. And…they should learn all they can from you. Amazing! 😻 🎵💜 Dawn

Your videos are so awesome! I am a new Kindergarten teacher. Would you make a video on how to keep the kids quiet when teaching a lesson. Mine shout out all the time and are super chatty. I think i was too nice to start the year. Please advise!!

I LOVE that you use songs to transition...How or what device do you use that is easy and doesn't take you a long time to find the song? CD? Playlist?

I’ve found doing a playlist on my phone works best. One for morning and one for afternoon.
