I am very happy for you that you’re getting these adorable creatures. Good quality chicken feed, clean fresh water everyday, clean, healthy living environment is the key for raising organic chickens. No corn, no kitchen scraps. Healthy treats only. Mostly, chickens get all essential nutrients from their feed, they don’t really need extra vitamins regularly. But I do give them vitamins in summer months because the feed intake is noticeably reduced due to hot weather which makes them drink lots of water, eating less feed. In terms of wormers, I only deworm my chickens when I spot worms in their poops. There is no such natural dewormer can do the job, chickens have to be dewormed by certified products. Shop for dewormers that have no egg withdrawals because I feel terrible even by thinking of throwing their precious eggs.

@@MerryLand68 Thank you for your advice..I have heard that some people put oregano oil and garlic in the water to help with keeping them worm free. Is it ok to give fresh veg and fruit occasionally ? Do I need anything special for the dust bath or is it just dirt ? I hope one day to incubate some eggs and hatch my own little chicks. Thank you again for your wonderful videos.

You are 🤗. I don’t give them oregano, garlic, apple cider vinegar…. None of these things can promote chickens’ health other than good quality chicken feed and clean fresh water everyday. I do feed my chickens fruit sometimes in small amounts

Organic feed is always my favorite. My chickens diet comes to 90-95% chicken feed, 5-10% wholesome treats which are scrambled eggs, mealworms or super worms, fruits and leafy vegetables

Should be around 20-28 with humidity. 45 degrees with humidity is very dangerous for these feathered pets as they don’t have sweat glands like we do, the worst part is: they are wearing down jackets in the extreme heat temperatures. That’s why they NEED SPECIAL CARE TO BE HELPED TO SURVIVE
