Effective Ventilation for Dairy Cows and Calves 

Proper ventilation for dairy barns is critical to animal productivity and health. This session will be a review of critical ventilation system concepts and design principles for dairy housing for calves and cows, for natural and
mechanical ventilation systems in both free stalls, tie stalls, and positive pres-sure calf housing systems. Dan McFarland is an Agricultural Engineer with Penn State University. This presentation was recorded during the 2020 Catskill Regional Agriculture Conference.
