Johnny taught me everything about effects two years ago when I started playing guitar, moving over from bass. Absolutely legendary explanations and I would definitely give this man a hug if I saw him in person
Very well explained. What I like most - he explains what the nature of a effect is and it's influence on the guitar's sound. Uses simple methods - speaks about how it works, how to use it. He shows clear, noticeable differences between each knob purpose. Short, solid, great video.
Great video. You told the story succinctly and completely. So many videos personalities apparently like to hear themselves talk. It's like they think they are getting paid for the number of words they speak not the crux of the matter.
I remember when my high school band played Kashmir in a concert ten years ago. I played my trombone through a chain of chorus and delay pedals. Add to that the natural reverb of the theater I was in, and it actually sounded as if I was playing the trombone underwater.
Chorus and Ring Modulation are my favorite effects. Chorus makes everything sound like an electric piano. Ring Mojewlation [sic] makes everything sound like FM!
Topgun Productions that is not song...just for example only...dont have a title....just example only.. sorry after 2 years I comment u...sorry..hahahahaha...
if "depth" controls how much effect you get and E level is how much you hear the effect relative to the guitar sound, than aren't those two exactly the same? Could you please explain the difference again?
The Depth controls the fluctuation depth of the phase and pitch of the processed signal in relation to the original dry sound, it's mixed with the original dry signal, hence the chorus effect, as it fluctuates between in-phase/in-pitch and out-of-phase/out-of-pitch states between 2 signals. The E level is just a mix knob that controls the volume ratio of processed and dry signals.
