Last week, we talked about reverb. Natural reverb is the result of sound traveling relatively slow and reflecting off of surfaces. When those reflections arrive very quickly after the original sound, we call that reverb.
When those reflections arrive a long time after the original sound, we call that delay.
Delay is an incredibly powerful expressive tool that can be used in a variety of different ways to enhance your sound. We’ll talk about different types of delay, what the common parameters are, and how to use it in your signal chain.
As our guest artist this week, we have Stratospheerius and Kansas violinist Joe Deninzon.
