Modulation effects (chorus, phaser, flanger, vibrato, tremolo, rotary speaker, and more) can be the spices that make the difference between a boring, generic tone and something a little more exciting.
Used properly, modulation effects can create separation between layers in a looping scenario or movement and motion in what might otherwise be a stagnant line of whole notes.
Also, if you’d like your violin to take up a little more space (or sound like more than one instrument), modulation effects might be just what you’re looking for.

Hi, I just bought a bridge aquila and fishman mini with battery and I'm so new to this and i will mainly be playing home to practice and play on tracks using the bluetooth on the amp. I was hoping to contact you to ask you how to setup the eqs on the amp and the preamp and also how the volume and tone should be at on the bridge violin. I'd really appreciate it if you reply and help me out. thanks

So those will all be subjective. It's like asking how much garlic you should put in your spaghetti sauce. Until I taste it, I won't know. With a clean amp like a Fishman, I usually leave my instrument volume wide open and put the tone knob in the middle. I'll start with the amp EQs at 12 o'clock. Then I'll sweep the tone knob on the instrument back and forth until I find the sweet spot for me. Then I'll repeat for each of the three EQ knobs on the amp. Once I think I've found the sweet spot for each of the tone and EQ knobs, I'll take a picture and then compare it to everything centered again. Make sure you didn't fool your ear into thinking something sounded better. Repeat as necessary.
