Great video and content Matt. Everything you say and demonstrate is the same as my experiences with Wah and electric violin. I mostly use auto-wah effects instead of foot pedals. Just because that let me control the wah effect with the bow pressure instead of having to use my foot. I am not very good at multi-tasking with several parts of my body 😅. I find auto-wah very useful doing exactly what i want, as long as I carefully adjust the effect pots, especially the sensitivity so I get the "sweet spot" of the wah-effect matching my volume and bow-pressure perfectly. I often use Wah together with horn players, the violin seem to blend in better with their sound good if I use wah. But, as you say, use the wah-effect sparsly, not all over the songs.
