In this video I prep session 25 of my ongoing Symbaroum campaign. As always, I aim at 1 hour of prep for 4 hours of play. Will I overshoot?
How will I plan for a session that includes wrapping up A Blooming Vale, a downtime of a few winter months, and the build up towards Wrath of the Warden?

Leo, Fantastic as always. I am setting up Mark of the Beast. Party is in Prios Pas for some potentially uncomfortable discussions with the local authorities, and then heading to Blackmoor. I'm thinking of coming up a crazy 24 hours in Blackmoor (or just overnight if I can pull off the intensity [I'm trying to imagine a frenzied 8 hours in Montreal sneaking through alleys and jumping from building to building before having a dramatic duel sur l'Isle]) before taking the stroll to Thistle Hold, paying for entry, only to find their boss murdered and skinned. The set up was both a joy and helpful as always. Simply hearing someone go over the lore and rules in so much detail is a big help. But as much as I appreciated you going over your prep of the narrative, I have to say the jewel of this session is your consolidation of the lore leading into the end of Copper Crown and the cult of Manaud in the rest of the narrative. Amazing and insightful. I feel as though "Tales of the late-Symbarian Kings" could be an endless source of lore and adventure.

I agree! My group wants to explore Davokar and its mysteries, and I want to give it to them. So I try to set up Lore drops that slowly build into a wider understanding of the word, even if there will always be tons of mysteries and grey zones.

The way you thread the different themes and NPCs into previous sessions makes the whole campaign fascinating. I try to do the same, and it seems rewarding. My players are more immersed than before. I am so grateful.

Thank you this is very helpful, I’m going to be running ToDD soon and just finished up MoTB and don’t know what sort of exp to give the PCs?

It pretty much depends on the campaign length you’re aiming for. If you’re there for the long haul, then 2-3 XP per session is recommended. If you’re doing a short campaign, 20 to 30 sessions, I’d give out 3-5 XP. But speed of advancement is really personal to each table, IMO. Some players get impatient if they don’t get regular goodies. :) Just keep in mind that Symbaroum gets more complex as players start building a lot of Abilities.
