Great Idea and well worth it. Here in Arizona they built the Cardinals Dome Stadium on the Hwy 101 which was farmland. Today you can’t believe the Economic Growth around the Stadium. Hotels, Restaurants, Sports Entertainment, Amusement Park , Shopping , Homes and Apartments. That has caused a boom in Tax Revenue for the City of Glendale , AZ. GREAT INVESTMENT and the Chiefs have a much better Fan Base.
AZ's previously abandoned malls have rotted and become infested with trash and crime, so, yes, poaching swaths of natural farmland for an all-new cesspool of consumption sounds like a great idea.
Keyword: *GLENDALE.* You don't border another state that shares the same CITY name. Additionally, revenue as you mention would go to the KANSAS side, NOT Missouri where the team has its rich history.
It looks like changing demographics plays a huge part(if not the only part) in the Chiefs/Royals wanting new stadiums in a richer part of Kansas City area. You know, go to where the money is.

@@mevrammcoyoteV8f150 Yes, but KC is such a big metro area the money left the MO side and went to the newer, richer side. The area(Indep, Lee's Summit, Blue Springs, etc) around Arrowhead/Kauffman stadiums have gone way downhill so much nicer just across the border.

Wonder if the KS voters were informed of all the expense and constant drama with having them... Sounds like they voted (in the poll) to get a team without any trade-offs or consequences. It's very different. Nobody wears my business logo, watches my business compete on TV, forms clubs supporting my business, puts posters of my business on their wall, knows the statistics of all my sales reps, or takes great pride in my business being in their town. No one is a fan of my business or views any other business in the manner in which they view their favorite sports franchise. You can complain about greedy owners, fine. We're holding hands there. A new stadium won't need update for about 20 years, Kansas will be keeping the maintenance as it goes so it doesn't cost a billion dollars to make the repairs, hell the NASCAR track still has free parking, the beat the hell out of 60 bucks .
I mean Missouri did give it up, once they gave up the taxes. The taxes didn't even increase, it was to keep it the same for 40 years and missouri said no.

I support the Royals staying in Kauffman Stadium but since John Sherman wants to leave there I would prefer the Royals move to the Kansas side rather than the Chiefs. But I’m guessing neither one will happen.
I would much rather see the Chiefs move to Kansas rather than leaving the area all together. The state of Kansas would be making a big mistake by not having the Chiefs in Kansas.
@mikeclayton6955 And they are not the Missouri Chiefs. They're the Kansas City Chiefs witch is in both states. I'm all for them staying in Missouri. But Missouri need to stop patching Arrowhead stadium up and build them a new stadium.. If they won't and Kansas will so be it... Chiefs deserve a new stadium just like all the other NFL teams. .

This is the dumbest idea EVER!!!!! For 1, you cannot buy liquor in Kansas on Sunday. I highly doubt that the state of Kansas will change that law for the chiefs. 2. No one would go to the stadium because they cannot drink, especially people from other states! OMG…. Get real!
