Thank you so much for summarizing this book. I read a review by a business coach which was pretty scathing and said there wasn't anything actionable in it.On the contrary, your summary really resonated with me and has me rethinking how I can approach my most important Deep Work and fit it in around my day job. I found this valuable; thank you.

I know that "starting a book and leaving it at any time it doesn't feel right for you" is an art. But I just can't tap into that skill. 😅 If I start a book.. No matter how worthless it feels still I can't drop it down. There's comes your videos to rescue me. Before starting any book... I watch a review. Then decides if I'm ready to pick it up or not. And you have covered almost all.. Since we are a community of self help lovers... It's nothing about spoilers 😂😂 Sometimes a book's review is better than investing time in a book. I'm in no position to comment about any authors. But I can choose the kind of writing I would like to read. And I definitely not like writings with soooooo many stories and less of insights. People who read self help a lot... They already know and practice the surface facts. For example : I read deep work, It was a strange love and hate experience. The book had sooo much of Cal Newport trying to convince that deep work is important. I mean man I know that's why I'm reading it... Give me better insights. It had very less depth in deep work facts 😂😂.. He talked about it on a very very surface level. I'm amazed to see how no one talking about that and just blindly praising it. But then I loved it for a fact that it kept me in a mindset of deep work all day long while I was reading it (the psychology of motivation) . I got distracted from my point.. I'm sorry My point is sometimes it doesn't worth to read the whole book (quite by Susan cain top that list 😑😑, sorry just my opinion) That's why book reviews and especially this channel helps me to save my time, protect my FOMO of self help books and improve my productivity research.

Speaking of these tips. A dozen different books will have different lists of tips and different acronyms. They will contradict each other, overlap, repeat and act independently. It may seem that your whole life is filled to the top with chaotic information that you still need and learn in order to make progress in your life. But here's the catch - having learned and practiced a couple of such sets, you will understand the matter itself and what is needed for it, well enough to twirl it as you like, you will be able to write a dozen of such tips yourself.

Unfortunately the gradual part not only doesn't work better for me but also destroys my morale and turns the pleasant work matching my daily capacity into a real struggle and burden :/ There's a reason why people say that not every method works for everyone.

I have had this issue of accumulating a lot of information and then not really executing them. Subconsciously may be, I just feel content that I gathered enough good positive content for the day and practically do only 20-30% of my ability in the rest of the day. What worked for me is, limiting to 1 new information at a time, implement it and then see if you need to learn anything new.. if what you have already learnt serves your purpose you will know it and go looking for the best method that serves you right.. start with whatever you have read/learnt recently and give it a go. Hope it works for you. Good luck
