Effortless Golf Swing using The Catapult Method with Ground

Effortless Golf Swing - The Catapult Method training at home practice to get effortless power golf swing with consistency. A great golf swing is one that can work well into senior golf swing years, but also deliver club head speed without too much effort with the catapult method golf swing.
To do this we can use the slingshot golf swing technique or what else is called the catapult golf swing method. What this does is to use the ground and weight shift to sling your arms through. It's about stabilization and dynamic power.
But how do we get there? Even if you are looking for beginner golf tips or golf swing basics, this will work great.
But be careful if you want an effortless golf swing for seniors. This is great practice drill at home, but you must take it slow and do not push too far.
But using Newton's Third Law of opposing forces, by pushing we also can propel and pull. Not just weight transfer but also open the hips in the golf swing.
So practice at home your golf swing with this weight transfer and foot pressure but take it easy and subtle.

I think golf needs to be taught this way. Us novices really can't see these movements unless they are explained exactly the way you are showing. I really learn this way. I've heard a million times use the ground up but I just didn't get it. I'm not sure I get this but I think I need to practice. It's experimental learning really. Great video's thank you John blagg

@@TheArtofSimpleGolf That went very well on the course. In order to make it a “feels natural” move for me, I substantially increased the pressure/weight on my front foot to say 90% at setup and gradually backed it down to approx 75% and allowed the skating move with my back foot to finish the job. Seems like it worked well (at least for me), but I am wondering if there is a downside associated with too much weight on the front foot at setup?

Nice job - have seen many swing biomechanics spend too much time talking trace and showing screen data they learned in a 2 hour seminar. Great 👍🏻. Haven’t seen an explanation like this before. For us mid to high handicappers I would just add the need to disassociate your arms in order to let the lower body “drive” the downswing. It’s hard to learn, but Vids like this help focusing on the right stuff 👍🏻

This action with the lead foot seems counterintuitive but it sure does work. Another image that may help to visualize/feel this move, is to picture your lead foot on a skateboard with 4 wheels under it that slides towards the ball target line.

I get the idea of using opposing force, but where should I be loading my weight? On my front foot so I can push back into my back foot? Or on the back foot so I can shift the weight into the lead foot and get my body weight through the shot more? Or keep it more centered?

How do you feel about Mike Malasta's thoughts on "rotating"? He says he doesn't even think about rotating and explains that during the backswing, you're pushing the right side of your pelvis back and then on the downswing, pushing the left back. He says he thinks of it in lateral directions and when you do the pelvis push it looks like you're rotating when you're really not.

What you are describing is the source of power. No it is definitely not effortless unless you mean by that the power in the swing is created as a by product of the leg pushing and pushing motions to create the catapult sling shot effect. Definitely the core and legs are is fully engaged. This engagement is not effortless at all. Just the contrary. You can not be relaxed and do this at the same time
