I've read that only Ollie and the crew knew about the fire breathing scene, the rest of the cast in this scene did not, and their reactions are therefore completely genuine.
Correct. Ollie was trained to do the stunt beforehand, but the other actors were told that Ollie would fake the fire-breathing, and they'd add the flames digitally during post-production.
@@bananasaregood8655 well the scene was still scripted, the cast just didn’t know about the actual fire except for Ollie! They thought it was going to be edited in.
It fascinates me so much how intensely Freddy stares at Effy while she's inhaling. Like, she's just inhaling smoke but to him, it seems like he's looking at an amazing creature or something.
the way he is absolutely enamored and adds so much impression to his view of her. he's full of love, his vision of effy is not objective, it is romanticized and hazy. he was made to love.
I think he doesn't get it, from what i've heard JJ is supposed to be autistic? That's probably why he's the most relatable character to me. I wish there was more focus on him in the series.
@@brainlet99 What are you on about?? literally no one helped effy. Remember when katie attacked her in the woods. And cook never really gave a fuck about anyone and went out of his way to hurt people like thomas. But in series 4 everyone was there for both cook and effy even after all the shit they caused.
@@anon3454you tried to sound smart but sound just as 'clueless' the actor who plays cook is from derby his accent is nothing like a bristol accent he grew up more than 100miles away
That's not "standind up for yourself". I mean, would you think the same way if Effy was Cook and Cook was Effy? If Cook said "I'd rather fuck Pandora" or "I'm not going anywhere near you, flat-chested bitch". And I agree that Cook's "proposal" was not very subtle but that's the way she treated him too; that was the way their relationship was at first. She was just moody that day. Btw, I do believe her attitude was understandable, since she had mental/emotional issues. But Cook did nothing wrong by responding to her in such a rude way because she was just as mean as him.
Andrea O. Nop sorry, Cook treated Effy in a way that was demeaning not just too direct or as you put it, “not very subtle”. He practically states that because she slept with him once now he is entitled to it. Effy said she just won’t, she doesn’t feel like it, so he isn’t getting any. Then Cook tell her: if you won’t have sex with “us” then go cause you are useless here. In my opinion if you’re going to be rude to someone expect them to be rude back, Cook deserve it and if a girl did the same as he, she would have deserved that too.
@@GNVS300 I think she did because Tony's known Anwar and the rest of the gen 1 gang for a while even before the season started because he knew sid to when he was younger so effy probably knew a lot of the gang
@@dylancai6261 i think she definitely knows who anwar is (since she knows cassie, michelle, sid etc) but i dont think they ever had a meaningful conversation or relationship at all. they’re so different, they probably had a cordial relationship tho
So Effy can show up in Freddys garden without him knowing and Freddy still falls in love with her but when I do that at my ex bf house I am a "fucking psycho and I should get a life"?! jk tho
Freddie had the whole superman complex thing with him trying to save his friends but occasionally getting conflicted with it. He had spent so much time looking out for everyone else he never had anything of his own so he fell for Effy and pursued her because of his longing, but his superman complex came right to the forward when Effy finally snapped in season 4.
I don't like how Effy liked to mess around with Freddie... she would be chasing him when he ignores her, but then when he does profess his feelings for her, she rejects him coldly. He should have just ignored her for good and let it drive her crazy lol
Shes not very creepy in this scene fairly normal by her standards. Also trust me guys are not very objective when they're dealing with a pretty face. Its biology.
yes it’s like on Pandora’s first episode she has her party and cook and effy go through the wall to next door but the house they went into is detached from the house they were in. It’s really lousy story writing.
Cook is my favourite but if he treated me like he treated Freddie in this scene i would kick fuck through him... But i suppose thats happened to him all his life and he didnt have the best upbringing and when Freddie actually dies it kills Cook.... So so deep of a series.
1:03 im currently obsessed with bbc’s the musketeers, specifically d’artagnan, and since i knew luke was in skins i just skipped to this episode to see him lmao the scream i let out when i saw that photo of them dressed as the 3 musketeers who would’ve thought he’d end up being d’artagnan
