I called my channel "JetSurfing Nation jet boards & efoils" but if you are about to pick just one, which type of board should you choose? I hope this video will help you get started! I learned the flyboard fairly quickly but was unable to get up (balance) on an efoil. I have yet to try the jetsurf, hopefully balance isn't a huge deal on it. I'm not as light/agile as I was in years past.
Yesterday was my first experience on a efoil. Never even seen them before. Took me 30mins to learn how to fly over water by myself. I am totally hooked and buying one for myself:)
You are the best this is an amazing evaluation and I learned so much and when you got to the environmental part and you called out all the bullshit you are a superstar!
I have no idea what boarding culture is, but I know damn well what ev lies are. The fact that you have a channel that does not parrot the big biz ev lies gained you a sub!
Great video comparison, thank you!! I'm all about the Jetsurf. And now I'm interested in trying out the e-foil too from the differences and riding experience/ state I want to be in on the water. Plus, love the flying carpet + genie in a lamp! haha!
Good comparison. Something I don't think you mentioned is that while the jetboard doesn't produce "huge" wakes, it does leave wakes while the foil is nearly wakeless. Probably not a big factor for most, but could be worth consideration depending on where you plan to ride. Cheers.
Thank you. Good info. I have both. They are DIY boards, but just as much fun! The lake I live on has in the summer a lot of pondweed making foiling really difficult. When so, I go and ride my jet board. When the weed is gone, I ride both boards....
How would you describe the foil on the ewave? Also how long does the battery last in foil mode and how long does it take to switch? Did you ever ride an lighter foil like lift or flite? I'm really interested in knowing, cause I own an ewave
the ewave doesn't last nearly as long as either of them though, and you have to buy the hydrofoil separately making the cost 1-2k usd higher than the Lift3
I love watching efoil guys ride wave after wave and then get a little to close to shore where it's not deep enough for them and watch them crash. I could watch that all day, hahaha. Oh and yes you are correct about the whole electric is not really better for the environment. So true. Thank you good vid.
The color of the video is incredible, what camera do you use or what post color process do you use, it has been a long time since I have seen something of such high quality, it looks like celluloid.
I plan to buy an efoil in USA and bring it to South America,, I should be able to disassemble the Efoil for the plan, How challenging is it to ship the batteries, is it very costly because of the weight?
Hi Mike, I own an Onean carver e-surfboard and am thinking of buying the 4.2 pro lift e-foil. Will it be easy to ride, having the experience that I have or should I go for the bigger/easier sport model?
Yes, absolutely! However first find a local efoil school and rent a bigger board to learn it for couple of lessons. 4.2 is a pro board, not for beginners. But after the lessons you won't have any issues!
Hey, can you do a video about the foil attachment that jetsurf was planning in 2019? I was really excited but I was just wondering if they abandoned it or not
It was just a prototype and did not go anywhere as far as I know. I don't think efoil can be petrol powered, it would be too noisy compared to electric efoils. However this year there are several jet propelled efoils are coming on the market such as Awake Vinga and Audi Etron
I didn't hear you do a comparison about depth of water & obstacles that could be hit with an eFoil? could you let me know if water depth and hitting a reef or hitting something underwater is a risk since the eFoil goes way under the water? thanks
hey ! If you had to choose one electric jetboard, would it be jetsurf ? ewave? any other ? which is the best , reliable , best battery time ? and in Portugal which documentation do you need to ride ?
It depends where you want to use it. For personal use only marine insurance is needed here but if you do rentals or lessons I don’t know it’s harder probably
I love that jetboard the efoil looks cool also but I want a mobile board I can take with me my car isnt that big. I wonder where I could try this bcz I never ever surfed before and I think mybe just buying a board is too dangerous so I think I need some kind of lessons how to learn to surf first.... Anyone know where I could try this in Belgium ? Love your review, I really think this is the next big thing only thing is the price if it could come down around the 3000euro I think it will be a big hit in the summers but also restrictions will come bcz of accidents on the water and you cannot go on every place on water with this i guess....?
@@JetSurfingNation Mybe a good thing also if they are cheap everybody can buy one and just like those electrique steps accidents will happen more on the water...
Самая большая батарея значит ефойл будет огромным и тяжелым. Я бы советовал наоборот маленькую спортивную батарею или даже нано батареи как у Fliteboard
@@JetSurfingNation In Bavaria you have many lakes(just look at Google maps) and some of them are owned by private person where person can mae some kind of deal and some of them have different restrictions for example on Ammersee is any efoil forbidden, but on Stanbergersee is allowed with permit....that's just example from many...😎🤙
I was comparing jetboards and efoils in General, not specifically petrol jetsurf.. There are many electric boards if the pollution is your concern. Cheers
I’m sorry to say but in 2024 these is huge amounts or electricity produced from solar or wind farms so electricity is definitely cleaner and the future as well as fresh air and silence do electric power is the future 💚
Why bother comparing? Because people like me who want to buy one aren’t clear on pros and cons of each type. I like aggressive high speed riding, I now know not to buy a foil. Ridiculous comment
@@JetSurfingNation those ppl have no idea what they are doing hahaha jk. When ppl send me jet board I tell them it’s trash! But I kitesurf and g foil all the time so I might be bad example
Most surfers think you guys look like assholes and on top of that unless you are Kai Lenny you should just go back home and sit on your couch and eat more chips.
On the ocean the foil can be fun even when it's a little windy & the foil can rise above the wind chop. And the lakes are usually glassy either way it's all fun...
