One reason Efren Is Soo good is because in the Philippines their game they call pool is different than billiards or pocket billiards. It is originally played on smooth ground or a polished table and it uses marbles instead of balls.
I would say on 58:47 when Efren fouled the 8 ball he knew that he fouled the 8 ball but the referee did not call it so he purposely put the cue ball on a bad position for the 8 and intentionally miss the shot. That bunkshot is too easy for Efren to miss.
not sure which rules were used here but -- In this case if you accidentally touch or move a ball other than the cue ball, there is no penalty. However, your opponent has the option to return any improperly moved balls back to their original locations
One of these commentators doesn't know that it is Efren with an "en" and keeps saying Efrem with an "em" or "um". I can't believe the ignorance of the fellow.
Efren is amazing, he'd be at least 100th in snooker. Steve Davis lost in the finals with Efren, Selby won the world 8 ball championship, and they don't really play this kind of pool.
30 second shot clock and one time out per rack does not fit in with some of these pros like Jim Rempe who is one of the greatest players ever and Johnny Archer who is another great but they drive me crazy surveying their shot.
Why do commentators feel they have to predict the shots? Don’t they commentate or make comments on the shots players themselves already decide to shoot? I think this is what commentators should be doing rather than being predictors. And then the commentator says the back and forth action is "unbelievable" format. What is that? Again, when Efren wins that's "unbelievable" also. How can anything Efren does be unbelievable?

What a crazy commentater , the one that feels he has to have something to say when he said Efren has such a smooth stroke . Balony Egren has a goofy see saw stroke .
Efren brought home lots of huge paychecks. Even more important than to be called the greatest was the big money he took home. To turn his skill into hard cash right in his hand right now without waiting for a paycheck.
It was announced the loser of the first match would break at the start of the second match which would be Efren Reyes because he lost the first match. But if you watch at time 1:03:18, it is Mika Immonen breaking. Is this a mistake. Why is Mika breaking?
For any viewer reading comments, it indicates below my last comment time was "1 minute ago" (edited). I edited it to put the name of the commentator I was referring to in my first comment, but my first comment was I day ago (yesterday) not I minute ago. I don't know where the I minute came from. What I wanted to say was about Efren's loss of two games because he didn't CALL the 9-ball. I mean, even if the 9-ball is right in a pocket close enough to fall in if the table was jarred, if it isn't called to go in that pocket (which is the only pocket possible for it to go in), it won't count. There is just no words to describe how bad this rule is, especially for adult professional pool playing to make a rule like that. Who, in their right mind would make a rule like that? Right after I made my last comment, Mika broke after getting the undeserved 9-ball count from Efren's failure to call his 9-ball. It left Mika with a dead-in 3-9 ball combination he didn't call. So he would NOT have received credit for the 9-ball if he HAD made it, but he didn't. He hung it up and there was no issue. Efren took over from there and ran out to shoot the 9-ball again. As he started to shoot, once again he didn't call the 9-ball. However, this time the crowd roared for him to call it and he did successfully make the 9-ball. So now all the fans are getting in to it to remind a player to call the 9-ball. Efren broke next and made the 9-ball on the break. Of course it counts, it always counts when you make the 9-ball on the break in every 9-ball game I've ever played. But it DID NOT count. What possible reason could there be not to count the 9-ball on the break. Traditionally, the 9-ball has always been good on the break. I hope it's obvious to those in charge of making this rule what I'm trying to say about this ______ rule. I'll let the reader put in his/her own word(s) in the blank.
EFREN HAS THE EDGE ON TACTICAL BATTLE AND BALL PREPARATION FOR THE NXT SHOT THEN EXECUTE THE GAME PERFECTLY WITH PURE HEART AND TALENT WHEN THE GAME IS ON THE LINE...HE'S THE GODS OF BILLIARDS...THEY WON'T CALL HIM THE MAGICIAN FOR NOTHING....THATS THE LEGENDS ARE MADE FOR...EFREN THE MAGICIAN REYES..
You are not in focus then, try to watch cloaely when efren hitting the cue ball without the impresion that afterward, he will also hit another ball by his stick.
1:19:40 -1:20:00 That ultra thin cut shot on the nine ball by Efren to keep his Championship hopes alive and get to sudden death game was amazing!! Very difficult shot and tremendous pressure. But he stepped up and executed it perfectly! The Magician does it again!
Always remember to repent of your sins (sin is transgression of YAHUAH’S LAW: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, & Deuteronomy) And Have Belief On YAHUSHA HAMASHYACH. HE Died and Rose three days later so that you can be forgiven of your sins! HE Loves you! Come to HIM!🙂
Two top pro-players playing for $50,000 and you have to call the 9-ball even if sitting in a pocket or it doesn't count. That's as ridiculous as a pro-golfer having to call the hole he's putting into ot it doesn't count. Whoever came up with this rule is certainly mentally challenged.
Efren knew he fouled the 8 ball but the referee did not call it so he purposely put the cue ball on a bad position for the 8 and intentionally miss the shot. That bunkshot is too easy for Efren to miss.
One of the commentators Mitch Laurance said Olhausen pool tables were the best in billiards, but Steve Mizerak, a pro-pool player said Brunswick pool tables are the best pool tables there are and a pool table the pro-players like to play on especially over Diamond pool tables.
Brunswick Gold Crowns are amazing as a table you want in your house. Diamond Pool Tables are a little bit on the tough side, but great quality, as of this date. Olhausen are forgiving, have nice cushions, yet have got a bit stale.
A lot of people always saying he gets lucky when he does incredible shots and at 52:16 you can tell he did by his smile. But all the other times they were not flukes...
In a way, if the ball is going that way with the intention of banking, if the accuracy is good enough and at that angle the chances increase that something will bank.
Reelive TV claims: "Streamed live on Apr 13, 2020". That's complete bullsh*t; this match was played 20 years ago. Shame on you for duping viewers in order to increase your subscribers. I hope RU-vid runs you off for your dishonesty.
