No one will ever surpass Efren's legacy because of the way he carried himself as a champion. Perhaps one day someone will come along who is even more skilled at the game of pool, but no one can replace the heart this man brought to the game. One of one!
2 things: 1 - if his eyesight is excellent, age doesn't really matter that much, and 2 - pool is a game of familiarity (been there, done that), and no one imo spends more time playing pool than this guy here. i say that because when i was really playing well, long long time ago, i practice at lease 4 hours per day on the average for 5 years, but that only put me to the level of a good player winning free drinks, not even competition level. yes, his demeanor is what him one the greats
I played Efren in 2017; the game was the best three out of five in nine ball. Of course he beat me and I enjoyed it. - - - If you are ever in the Huntsville Alabama area just stop by Steve's Cue and Grill - - - as you walk in you will see a picture of Efren and I on the left just outside the entrance of my cue repair shop - - - I'm there every week, if I'm not in my shop just walk up to the bar and look to your right - - - I am normally setting at the first table having coffee or unsweetened tea if I am not teaching someone how to shoot pool - - - if you shoot pool, since I own all the Diamond pool tables in the bar, the table time will be on me and I will let you break!
The best match I've ever watched, and dayuum Thorson was was 98% on his game, but Bata was 99.5% humble on his game, like a strategic battle flowing like classical music. Humility is the key.
Efren the GOAT!!! Ya never ever count this guy out! Example: The rules next will be alternating break --- equal time, afterall it's an exhibition!?! : ) Be Safe
Agreed, 4.25 is the perfect balance of tight pockets and being able to create angles that aren't really there. Too small and it takes a lot of creativity out of 9 ball.
Ι was watching a tournament recently on t.v. and Chris Melling was wearing a shirt with 'Magician' written on it, we all know that the Magician is Reyes...why did Melling wear it?!!
Was visiting NYC to see a good friend. Tony Robles said I should check out Amsterdam Billiards. What a great recommendation. It's an awesome place and I can't recommend it enough. If you're ever there, you absolutely have to spend and evening there.
Saying the pockets are foregiving is a massive understatement, they are like buckets compared to an English table or a snooker table, the angles of the jaws are not as sharp as an English table also, and the cushions are dead which enables a ball hitting them to then follow the cusion and into the pocket, if you so much as kiss the cushion on an English table that ball is not going in. all this makes for a much more skilled game IMO.
Naa fam, snooker is more about stroke and cue ball control...theres just too much strategy involved in pool...I could tell you efrens iq is way above ronnies...
Well until he decides to retire and can no longer play due to his age. His legend as the greatest pool player of all time will always be part of the history of sports. 😊
This table is loose but Amsterdam has like 26 tables of all different pocket sizes. I think these may be the largest pockets in the room tho. I got my high run in str8 pool on this table😄
@@_ballchinian1594 No it's a 9 footer. It's one of two exhibition tables at the front of Amsterdam Billiards if I'm not mistaken, but my god those pockets are massive.
@@aim20703 Here's a word for you to look up.... "Sarcasm" (I couldn't beat them... but I've broke and run 100's of times, and Built a pool table from the ground up...)
@@aim20703the difference was the commentator wasnt dissing on huge pockets therefore insulting these pros. So many snooker snobs in the comment section.
