It's no secret that Roblox has been becoming more and more of a dry, soulless corporation lately. With little interaction from Roblox's higher-ups, and shouldering the responsibility of self-moderating and creating pretty much all of the content on Roblox themselves, many Robloxians have felt directionless and bored of Roblox for a long time, and many have even left Roblox because of this. How did we get here, and how can we fix this? Well, being that it's close to Easter, let's take a look at the state of things on Roblox over the years through the lens of one of the most beloved and sorely missed events that Roblox ever hosted: the Egg Hunt.

If Roblox removed the top 50 worst games from the Egg Hunt, then I’d say this Egg shunt would be much better. I feel like I’m rushing to get all 100 badges instead of actually enjoying some of these games that had time and effort put into their Egg Hunt Badge.

The hunt was soooo bad I mean ofc it was better than nothing but compare it to any egg hunt we previously had and it can't even begin to compare Like, how did we go from The Yolktales to this?? All they had to do was make it less grindy, add quality control and not allow bad games into the event.

The event also felt like it had no progression, plus most praise is just because events are back and the prizes aren’t even good, half of them are locked behind a paywall as well like I was hyped for that commando but I was really disappointed Edit: I think for the gold items they could do what they did in the ready player events and make games have a harder version, of course this would be worse since this event had no quality control, but if the event had quality control this would make the event way better, also why do they tease overpriced reskins that people will get hyped over then crush their dreams, very dumb move

i opened up natural disaster survival which sucked and was almost impossible if you didn't buy powerups or a private server. didnt bother playing any others, that alone made me realize the entire event was bad lol

The 2017 egg hunt was peak. There was that one 8-bit egg you had to play a crane game to get, there was that stupid snow level with the ship, I think there was a desert level where you needed multiple people to press buttons or something. And there was that google-play exclusive bunny ears hat which powered up your jumps that I desperately wanted and couldn't get because the family tablet I played on wasn't an android and I wasn't smart enough to find a work around despite watching pointless RU-vid tutorials promising help for how to do it and so I never completed the event and I didn't get all the eggs and I stopped using that account and now 7 years later I own an iPhone anyways. Thank you Roblox!

It worsened in 2021 mostly The community basically made those events , roblox just stopped in favor of "modern business model , dark patterns , being more professional suppporting bad ppl in the community , child labor , for sharholders to make roblox a dream realistic product" Roblox is def proud of ruining their game and being an evil company whoch caysed to divide the community so the community became slowly disgusting a toxic cesspool it always was problematic but ever since roblox decided to change the structure of their game and their business model due to their rep being dire due to these pretty terrible livestreams from 2014 especially the twitch incident one due to roblox not addresing the problems due to corporate management and poorly treating their admins . Erik death caused the downfall of roblox Roblox as been relying on their corporate mangament and detractors since 2014 and nlwlook how their corporate management as done to their rep over the years thanks to these cringey not community focus twitch streams from 2014 im not against these streams but if they were community focused , less corporate-ish , and roblox not being greedy and actually addresing problems Then Roblox wounldnt have to try hard to be a mature professional platform in the first place and actually being it Tbh i relise that david used at one point to care about making roblox a fun platform but ever since the industry shifts changed for the worse david decided to jump on this trend but erik held him back frol these trends cuz its to make their creation bad and veer since erik died after rhis death david decided to take asdolute control of the platform and caring more about corporate profit and public image and the community to be a bit aside but That " aside" as evolved into "mattering a bit less" due to roblox making more money thanks to devex and public image , and then after theses straight bad coporate ish streams incidents their rep became dire and for roblox to continue being a highly praised game they needed to change the structure of their platform very slowly for the bad and change for their new upcoming business model in order to grow as company and platform to make more off of them and build solid communication so the mainstream could meet the indie by relying on investors and shareholders to be super popular and join the stock market so the "matter a bit less " evolved into completly " mattering less " in 2017 Then when industry became more and more bad internet changing for the bad the web became more modern and simplifiied social medias ruining society destroying what the internet was , brandings became more flat simplified monochrome souless ovetsimplification so as roblox became even more evil The mattering less ans evolved into completly " stop seeing the community as an worthy entity they only contributed to roblox s' classic success not modern success in 2021. It did include such games but at best their ratio is 1/10 comapred to the rest of the games. There is at least 5-7 games that had something unique/notably reffered to the actual hunt and made with some kind of a care. Most of others are just straight grind or 'kill/destroy for an egg'. Even cringe toilet defence dev made some kind of an actual damn it egg hunt on map with few quests which is far better than other 2 tower defences did. Most of devs put no effort to their game. _"Blah, blah, blah, kill, blah, blah"_ - Rex Powercolt from Far Cry Blood Dragon.

after finishing the hunt and getting 96 badges, i went back and finished all of egg hunt 2018 again (my old 2018 account got comped) and all I have to say is, the fall from grace is absolutely wild. From being able to get 40-50 eggs in EH17 and 18, to having to play over 95 games to get 10 items that some of which you have to pay for to receive AFTER you completed the quests. Roblox becoming more and more greedy as time goes is honestly really sad, I remember how the old events like RPO had the entire community trying to figure things out. I think the last hint of this was RB Battles season 2 and 3, afterwards there hasn’t been anything with as much of a “iconic” or “memorable” feel tl:dr bring back egg hunt :(

RPO was probably my favorite event in all of the years I’ve been playing Roblox (think I started in 2013 or 2014). It was awesome that the event got intertwined with Yolktales, and I loved how the team behind Yolktales hid the secret switches to finishing the RPO event in the most obscure and sometimes most obviously overlooked areas. I loved racing against the clock and the community to get gold/silver/bronze crowns, especially the gold antlers at the very end. Anyways I don’t know how to end this, I loved RPO, and mixing it with the egg hunt was super exciting. Just reminiscing on good times.

EH17 and EH18 are 7-6 years old now man. Its been 4 years since the last one, roblox isn't really the same as it used to be. Because it DOESN'T have the people who worked on egghunt anymore. Thats the part you need to remember, is that they didn't work on this for 4 years and these aren't the people who made the old egghunts. I mean if it is, thats just way funnier to me that they peaked for like 6 years in a row and then choked.

I think the newest egg hunt is really cool on paper, but they put so many games that are just the same thing retextured into the egg hunt. it's pretty saddening especially when there are creators making amazing games (not saying they didn't put any amazing games) but I don't want to play 3 deathballs man.

doors hard carryed 2024 hunt event it was one of the few that actually seemed like they tried and made a good event and wasnt a game widley hated the only bad part of it is that it was hard for non doors players but it still wasnt even the hardest one and it got players exited because doors doesnt update much and yeah this comment is already to long but im not saying doors in the only good one im just saying it definitly carryed the event compaired to the clickers and clones and some games that are widley disliked edit: ok now looking at the replyes maybe doors didnt hard carry but i think it was one of the few games that was really good

For the first egghunt in a WHOLE 4 YEARS. This was, surprisingly, really disappointing. The only reason I grinded 95 badges is because I’ve played both 2019 and 2020 egghunts, and have been waiting for another one. The games choices for the egghunt are pretty bad. The sports games were so boring and time consuming, many games are already extremely hard, like doors and a wolf or other, and their quests certainly don’t help either. The difficulty of the badges are insanely unbalanced, really wish there wasn’t so many games and difficult badges in the hunt.

Surprisingly Doors and AWOO were on my top list of the games selected. I can see where some people were having trouble with doors (I was just rushing through it with a bunch of friends and It felt like I've been flashbombed multiple times as I did it.), while AWOO the biggest challenge was just finding the egg, as it's pretty easy to survive, but It didn't take as long as other games (cough cough, strongest battle grounds taking me and co 4 hours, cough cough).

I don't know how anyone can do all 100 games in the hunt. I only managed to do 40 before it was too much. The thing I hate about it the most is that instead of getting an egg for each game, you had to grind in a ton of games just for one lame item, and then do that several times for just 4 more items. I wish there was more to actually get. This is mostly because I missed out on a lot of the other hunts, so this is my only chance to fully participate, but there's only 5 items to get. Wait no, 6 items. And a few more if you're lucky. Also I really hope they just make eggs rain down in every game again. That would be hilarious.

Me too... i dont understand, i stopped after 60 badge and say "i hate this fucking event, i stop !" And i see some of my friends get all 95 badge but i understand because he have no robux and for free item... he make the impossible lol but when he say "why you dont try ?" I say "HELL NO".

The fact that this was my first egg hunt sucks as I missed out on the earlier ones as a result of me losing interest in Roblox time to time

Fact is Roblox is so corporate driven now that they really forgot what made it so special in the first place. The charm, character and community that it once had is unironically a relic of the past. We wont ever get back to that point, even if The Hunt is a "step in the right direction" it was very clearly a lazy event thrown together in a few weeks in order to get a profit. The real tragedy is knowing they sold themselves out and forgot about the core and loyal playerbase just to satisfy some shareholders.

@@ContentdeketedDude, I'm typically not the kind of person to criticize someone else for making a long comment, but your comment is simply too much. It's a whole lot of nothing, it repeats the same point, it has a ton of grammatical errors (seriously, proofread your stuff), it criticizes ROBLOX for something that you never go into much detail about (what exactly is wrong with the livestreams, for example?) If you're going to make a long comment, make sure people know what you're saying and that it isn't long because you're just repeating things. Don't do extra, either, you don't have to space out each sentence or make separate sentences just to say why ROBLOX has certain "issues".

Y'know I didn't always compete in the egg hunts but now that they're gone I realized that they were a part of roblox's self they brought people together, to create whole stories, worlds, eggs and even friendships that could still be ongoing to this very day. And that's what I love about roblox, it's a very unique world meant to bring people together, to spend time with each other, and to take a break from the real world. And with egg hunts gone it feels like a shell of it's former self (pun intended) I wish they would bring it back, even if that is my kid self being blinded by nostalgia.

fun fact about egg hunt 2016: you could delete the nesting egg badges to get all 3 of the items (not sure if this got patched but there are some users who own all 3) same with egg hunt 2017, i got the faberge early by deleting and re-getting badges (you needed 40 badges but i had like 30)

i played the 2016 egg hunt, and i was able to get all three bfore the hack got patched. but sad news is, i think the yr was 2019, the lemon nesting and the red one got deleted from my inventory which was sad :(

As someone who did the 95 badges, and got all the hats. "The Hunt" was pretty bad, basically any tycoon or simulator, took 5 hours. The worst for me was a game by GameFam called "Spongebob Simulator". What the hell did they do to my Sponge boy.

Tbh, as a player who participated in egg hunts since 2012 (as a guest). I was so blown away by even the idea of Roblox bringing back events that I considered the mere idea of such being a possibility to be almost laughable. I can not understate my surprise and eggcitement when I learned of the Hunt. ROBLOX? DOING AN OFFICIAL EVENT? IN THE YEAR 2024?! Sure, after 100% completing the Hunt in 7 days and getting the infinite egg I can say it wasn't a good event. Heck, I'll say that it has probably been the worst event I've experienced since the Metaverse champions, which I got so sick of that I quit after only the second round. However, I am at this point just happy to see that some part of egg hunts is alive and eggisting. P.S. The Infinite egg is actually really good. Not worth 100 or 95 badges good. But still really good.

I was honestly surprised too, considering how much of a corporate hive mind Roblox seems to be. This is the first event I’ll be able to play, and while it’s not that great, I’m just glad that I’m able to have the experience to play it, even if it’s not that great.

I felt it had rough spots but was fun overall and the most important thing was me and my friends had a good time. Imagine what happens when Roblox tries there best to make a good event. I hadn't really thought much about The Hunt despite going for all 100 badges, but you're disclaimer at the start is such a nice refresher compared to everyone else's extreme hate for it. It *is* a good start in the right direction, the fact that it exists at all is a good motivator for us to not lose hope about Roblox becoming a soulless husk of what it was, and it can help us look forward to whatever comes next. Let's hope that Roblox doesn't take all this hate towards it as a sign to scrap it and return to radio silence. Excited to see what you have to say about it.

as someone who joined in 2009 and played every single egg hunt except 2008, i can't understate that egg hunt 2013 was PEAK when it dropped, easily my favorite egg hunt to date even now; it certainly wasn't as fancy as 2018 in terms of overall content or cool movement mechanics and such, but being in a full server during egg hunt 2013 was a VIBE. just droves of people exploring what was once considered a HUGE map, all working together (or AGAINST each other in some cases, cough cough Scrambled Egg) to find every egg, bring food to the sorcus egg in time, chatting waiting for some of the rarer eggs to spawn, etc etc. it just had this wonderful sense of community to it; there's CERTAINLY a reason it was the peak concurrent player count recordholder when it dropped, haha. even the egg designs i consider to be some of the best to date simply because i think that it's way harder to make good outfits with the overly modeled eggs that came in the later years! that was the event that like cemented roblox as a game for me and has kept me more or less on it ever since lol. that Kevin Macleod song that was on loop in it is FOREVER burned into my brain while i did end up enjoying The Hunt it was admittedly kind of a slog to get through aside from a few games that went above and beyond in their missions. but hey at least they’ve finally realized the importance (or more realistically the cash-printing potential) of events again. though the fact that it has a BATTLE PASS when almost every single prior hunt was free and FAAAR better executed is a depressing statement to roblox as a company and their current priorities. still a step in the right direction but we’ll have to see if things improve lol (this what going public does to companies yall! shareholders are LEECHES) also a quick few opinions on prior egg hunts: - the only egg hunt i never collected every egg in was 2014, i CANNOT understate just how unplayable-y buggy it was - half the eggs you just *could not* get for more than half the time it was up - 2015 was miserable and i will NEVER forgive taymaster for making the phantom of the egg spawnrate so low i wasted SO many hours on that thing - 2018 is easily the best egg hunt that holds up as a *game*, straight up just a full collect-a-thon platformer lol

listened to this literally as im playing the hunt right now, and like... i really dont even know if i could say my thoughts without writing a whole essay lol. i have SO many complaints about roblox as a platorm, ive been playing since 2010/2011, and i want to say roblox is either the first game i ever got to play, or one of the first games, and ive seen it change so much over the years for better but mostly worse, and... i think most of all im just sad and disappointed. the hunt really feels like a good summary of a lot of issues i feel are going on with modern roblox. the hub is pretty and not necessarily low effort, but then you go to the games and i have to heavily assume all the hunt events in the games were made solely by the devs of those games, and the roblox staff had literally nothing to do with any of it, meaning they yet again put all the effort onto the playerbase, and basically none for themselves if at all. the varying levels of quality in the games and the hunt missions themselves... idk man. not to mention how many of the games in the hunt, and on roblox in general, are so lazy and greedy. idle games are, i guess, a valid form of game, but theyre extremely boring and low effort and i cant seem to escape them on roblox. not to mention why are they literally always called simulator, theyre not simulating anything but boredom... and most importantly, they BEG for your money and its not even subtle. if i wanted to play games that did nothing for me and asked for my money at every turn, id go to a casino, not one of the first games i ever played that holds a pretty special place in my heart and dominates so many of my memories. also the first one i got to play (that i was aware of, i think as a kid i joined one and didnt know what the deal was?) was 2017, and i really really enjoyed it! it was so high quality and fun and i actually replayed it on a second account just to experience it all over again, but then i tried to replay it again a few years later... and it was broken. i dont think i ever completed any of the ones i participated in, but i couldnt even do ones i had already gotten there, because it was actually just full on broken. i was devastated. robloxs absolute destruction of its old games is another issue i have, but i dont know anything about code so i dont even know if its a problem they can fix or prevent, i guess. i could go on about roblox and my thoughts for hours but i think i typed enough... really good video, btw! i learned a lot and it gave me some perspective as well

Honestly only those who have experienced the olden era of roblox knows how special it is. The devs of The Strongest Battlegrounds know this and actually put effort and love into the hunt event. The owner worked tirelessly and 2 days before the event the owner didn't rest at all. And when the event dropped the owner was tired and sleeping so there was a delay which creative the USUAL massive chaos in the discord, which happens everytime the devs are late or something else which isn't the dev's fault. If you want to know how horrible the chaos is in discord. People were sending death threats just for a move to be released. Even then the devs kept making the hunt event and as a result made these SMOOTH animations for their game. I do not know if there are any other the hunt games like this but Overall though It is nice to see a group of people who know and genuinely care about the hunt and know how to make it special. It's sad how and SOMEHOW garbage games got into the hunt.

I did NOT like egg hunt 2017 for some reason the game would keep sending me to a alternate version of the map that rendered some eggs impossible to obtain, like for example in the weird version of the game, the humpty dumpty egg wouldnt do its thing at night, rendering it impossible to obtain. I somehow one time got into the normal version of the map and got the egg, but that was about it

Listen I've been binging this channel lately and learning about old Roblox has been super interesting but let's not act like it's really that much better than modern Roblox. Sure it does get a little dry but even during a dry spell we have thousands more games to play, better graphics effects animations etc. Games based on popular ips people love(not talking about the official gamefam type ones) like a lot of these Roblox anime games are better than the official AAA Anime counterparts. People complain about ugc and I understand why but I think the tradeoff is more than worth it when you consider that you can literally make anything you fucking want. It is the single most robust customization system in all of gaming. Like the sky is the limit which is pretty fuckin cool if you ask me. You don't miss old Roblox you miss how you felt when you were at that age ...

I think it's important to acknowledge, though, that just because roblox is shiny and squeaky looking and advanced doesn't necessarily make it good or better automatically. Something can be polished and look amazing on paper or as a concept and suck terribly in practice. Yes, roblox has more customization than ever, but at what point does the fact people can make better looking or complex games make up for the fact that nobody actually does? I'd wager to say more than half of the games on the platform are lazy oversaturated cash grabs that focus on milking the most robux out of their player base than people who actually want to create games because they're passionate about games, creation and making something people will enjoy. Roblox has never been, nor will it ever be, completely perfect. It feels as though roblox is overcompensating for the lack of care for their player base and their game by making everything look clean and pretty and "advanced". A lot of the appeal of roblox and what you'll hear from people who miss old roblox is that they miss the simplicity of old roblox and the community as well. For a lot of people, that new coat of paint and advanced customization is the reason they don't like roblox now

i wish i wasn’t a pea brain kid during egghunt 2018, wish i could’ve experienced the entire thing and gotten all the eggs. i only managed to get a few of the 2018 eggs. i even tried doing some ridiculously hard parkour to get the golden wings badge except it didnt give me the wings.

If you look closely, Roblox is actually trying to listen to the Community ever since Early February of 2024 giving feedbacks and are interacting with the Community. Heck, they even add another Egg but, you need to collect 95 of the Hunt badges so it's kinda meh but it might hinting towards another sorts of Egg hunt event on Roblox. That is just my speculation don't take it seriously tho.

You know, I've seen your fascinating and beautiful work on Roblox. And the story stuff within it, but there is somebody. You missed somebody who's been overestimated. Somebody who appeared in an event back in the 2010s specifically near the end of you know. I am a coarse talking about the chicken man and the hell he would appear in other games mainly too and how he would rise from the shadows all because of sketch. I actually think if Roblox is going to keep doing dev hunts, they should follow in Egg Hunt 2015's path. I liked Egg Hunt 2015, obviously not more than other egg hunts, but having only a couple of games with a lot of eggs instead of 50 games with 1 egg is such a better and more fun way to do it. Especially because they could choose actual good games to use instead of skibidi toilet simulator.

I sacrificed 9 days of my life on getting the darn egg. Was it worth it? Absolutely, the egg and the crown have cool effects when worn but I cant say I enjoyed my time getting all those 95 badges. First off, most of the games felt like a CHORE, and that's only sugarcoating it heavily. The main offenders are Pet Sim, basically every participating GameFam game, just about every tycoon, Lumberjack Simulator and Pull A Sword. There were also ones that were so easy that they're extremely forgettable. For example, a good chunk of the RP games were essentially freebies, which I kind of welcomed since that allowed me to take a break from going to hell and back, but this came at the cost of enjoyment. Ultimate Football, however, was an absolute freebie in that it had a simple objective that only required you to just... Play the game. Football Fusion 2, however, is a stark contrast to Ultimate Football despite being essentially the same concept; American Football. In Football Fusion, the objectives sound simple enough, requiring you to catch the ball and tackling an enemy. The issue is that catching the ball means not intercepting it (which is still catching by definition) but having it passed to you, which wasn't even disclosed. Another example of a game with a simple objective but being a pain in the rear in practice would be Lumberjack Simulator and Pull A Sword. These two games are essentially the same but with different theming. Thankfully you could fold them open with an autoclicker since the objective was to beat a certain event boss. A few games were enjoyable however, like RB Battles having 2 separate paths you can take for the badge and being very well made in general. However, these games are extremely few. Every other game I didn't mention sre probably fetch quests and/or collectathons which are MID.

However, I am not a perfectly sane individual, so I got all 95. The egg and crown look good, but the grind for them was not fun.

this video, oh my lord this video, this is something i've always wanted to do myself but never had a proper computer to record footage and edit on. egg hunts are something i've held near and dear to my heart since 2013, the year i actually learned what egg hunts were. i never participated in 2013's hunt, barely did anything in 2014's, but i played tons of unofficial ones and had practically endless fun. it hurt me when we didnt get any egg hunt in 2021, and since then i've held out hope until there was none left. even now, with the hunt up and running, it doesn't feel like an egg hunt. it doesn't feel like a "hunt." it kinda just feels like roblox wanted to build up hype for their veteran players, and dropped the ball in actual quality. i'm not gonna say that old roblox was better, it really wasnt, and 2017's egg hunt remains my absolute favorite hunt ever made. BUT i think it deserves the credit of kickstarting an incredible series of hunts. which i have plenty of memories of. i know im kinda yapping here so TLDR: i like egg hunts :3 incredible video, loved watching it.

50% of the games in the hunt are just so bad that they ruin the whole event. I didn't finish it because I was so annoyed about the length of the quests and them being RNG based in case of some games. The games which are good are 10% while the rest are average. Sad that Roblox events have stooped to such a level, but at least it is a step in the right direction!

old egg hunts are so nostalgic I remember playing them from 2012-2017, all with a friend egg hunt 2017 was absolutely amazing and my favorite, and all of the worlds were so memorable. I never tried 2018 but it also looks incredible it's a shame that the egg hunts aren't even a fraction as good as the old ones

I think what's important about all these events, even the hunt is that everyone across all ages on Roblox come together as one, for one community driven goal and in a times when we really needed it. Epecially in 2020 but Roblox fell short and when the events ceased after the egg hunt we were all separated into our own games that we personally find enjoyable, in my eyes that's not what Roblox is nor was. Its a platform to bring people together, to make friends, to have fun. Whilst I do have many issues with The Hunt and definitely feel it can be improved upon I think its definitely something we should not despise as it gives Roblox less incentive to give us another event. All in all I wish for one day I can have that feeling of tuning into a youtuber's stream racing to find eggs, items, badges whatever and sharing laughs with not only friends, but the community as well.

2017 was my first egg hunt. (I actually joined in 2016 as well, but I think that was after the egg hunt I joined.) 2017 and 2018 were the best hunts, for sure. I have very fond memories of completing very fun challenges in 2017 and joining 2018 for three seconds, getting the first two eggs and completely ignoring its existence for the rest of the time it was active (which I very much regret.) 2017 has some of my favorite eggs and methods for getting them, like that one egg you fought a giant octopus for, that pixel one that was in a claw machine, that one tesla egg you had to do somthing with lighting to get, that one egyptian-like ome you got for doing a puzzle in a pyrimad, and that egg you got for going on a spy mission and dodging lazers to reach the evil robot egg. They sound a bit simple but they had a unique and wonderful execution.

I only joined in 2020 but once I heard about the egg hunt from previous years I was very disappointed. I loved the idea and played other hidden egg game every Easter. The hunt this year was pretty disappointing especially due to the amount of horrible games put into it. Despite this I really like the games that actually did something and felt like some of them almost made up for me missing the egg hunts. I also feel that Roblox has a lot more advertisements then when I first joined and probably even more if you join earlier, most of the games I played during the hunt had a door leading to a sponsored area. I’m probably not a good source for any of this though as I mostly have only played rp games wich I also feel there’s been a decline in, to favor useless simulator games.

I created my first guest account somewhere in 2016 and first account in 2017. I only started to discover the true side of Roblox and engaging with the community late 2019 - early 2020. I missed all the egg hunts even the last one...I only really did the Metaverse Championship one as my first actual event. This pains me to have missed the good events from the old days and the old days of Roblox (and how they are so much better than today) and seeing the downfall of Roblox ever since. That being said i did the hunt, i didn't lie to myself and keep my hopes low and still got disappointed. I did all 100 games (i need therapy) and it wasn't worth it at all, I will say this with no sugarcoating : it was a shit event, too much games which themself were like bad (90% of them i would say). The only way i see a good event coming back is re-doing a 2018 egg hunt. Everyone would love it.

I made an account in the summer of 2009. The ONLY reason I play Roblox now is for Doors. If Doors hasn’t released a major update, I’m probably not playing Roblox. Doors is the only game I’m interested in playing although there are some other decent games out there too, just not for me. However, when I look at the games catalog, most of the games are pretty trash. Now there have ALWAYS been trash games, and the quality games of today are better than the quality games of the 2000s and early 2010s, but there’s never been THIS much trash. Also, you mentioned Roblox wanting to age up their playerbase. That’s never going go happen despite their efforts because we adults don’t like interacting with children. It’s really obvious to us, or at least to me, when a random person who talks to me is procrastinating on their middle school homework. I’m happy kids are enjoying the game, but I don’t want to get inadvertently drafted into babysitting someone.

Reasons why the hunt is nothing but a steaming pile of garbage: 0. The hunt is mostly spending lots of time in garbage tycoon games or completing boring scavanger hunts. Also the hunt barely has a useable time window forcing kids to skip sleep and play roblox to get all 90+ badges. 1. Buggy games like bike obby ask for so much (Midly P2W [constant buy this popup] >10min of undivided attention). 2. Tycoon games like the lumberjack simulator (Extremely P2W and >20min of undivided attention). 3. Pet Sim 99 wants you to reach area 20 and that probably takes forever 4. The hunt is nothing but a CASH GRAB. Most games are low quality low effort pay to win and very buggy. 5. Roblox stop using "The Hunt" as an excuse to make crappy updates.

So I’ve been playing since 2017…but I never really got to participate in the egg hunts. (I don’t count the metaverse hunt, some of the items were kinda cool, but my stupid ass was satisfied with getting the shard of Valkyrie, MVP not realizing that it wasn’t the whole Valkyrie). I was actually kind of excited for the hunt because I would be able to actually participate in an egg hunt like event. The hunt was going in the right direction but a majority of the games were really annoying to play because they took like 5 hours in each. ( I couldn’t even make it to unlocking the second prize lol.)

Something I'm still so angry, still so salty about, is that I seem to be the only one who encountered a terrible terrible glitch: the final week of Metaverse Champions, it abruptly no longer counted my previous weeks badges. It was like I'd joined the event the final week. And thus, my only options were to lose the opportunity to get the [at the time] last egg, or grind for it as hard as I could to get all the badges for the week. The issue? *I was still in school*. I didn't have time to do it! This sent me in to a months long email chain with Roblox support, ending in them basically telling me to shut up and deal with it [which, worst part about that, the final email in that chain was sent to me while I was at Disneyland :(. That sorta ruined the day for me a bit]. Yea, I know it's no longer the last egg [and in fact I got the Infinite Egg!], and that it's only visible with Headless, but also...c'mon man, it's the thought that counts and I have the right to be angry :/.

I have 5 problems that I feel might needs to change for The Hunt for your upcoming videos: 1) The amount of time to complete The Hunt both for devs and players, 15 days is not enough for either the devs or players. I think 1.25 months for development atleast would be better (Jan 15 - Feb 28/29) and for players to complete it should be a month ( Mar 1 - Mar 31 ) 2) Which games are participating, the quality There's a lot of drama about what games were chosen and they need to make sure they get games that aren't cashgrabs/ don't suck. I think they need to get games that are well liked by the community 3) Quality, of the quests SO MANY OF THE QUESTS WERE SO ANNOYING AUGH Please get people to watch over the games' quests, I think a lot of employees would be able to do it 4) Newbie friendliness, are new players equal to pro players when it comes to if they are able to beat the quest some games were easy for pros but not for newbies, this is noticeable for games like PS99 or Spongebob Simulator and new players had to deal with hell Please get people to watch over the games' quests so they aren't to unfair for new players, I think a lot of employees would be able to do it 5) Standard, 95 badges in 2 weeks! I think if they use the advice for problem 1 I don't think it'll be a problem but then they should not rise the badges needed if they did. If they didn't lower the badge count to ATLEAST 80.

I realized what I only found out what I was supposed to do in the last egg hunt. I regret not searching up abt this event but oh well, I was only 12y old at the time XD

A suggestion I have for Roblox would be to have only 50-30 games which have to volunteer to do the event and they should be quality controlled so games like "Obby But You're On A Bike" don't get chosen. Second, remove the battlepass and probably make it slightly easier to get the prizes if you pay money. Next, make areas that are unlock-able from playing games that you can earn eggs from (kind of like egg hunt 2018). Lastly, add more rewards that players can get because when I was playing "The Hunt" a lot of times I lost motivation as the rewards were so little and weren't even that good. All in all, I feel like making these changes would promote games and make the player explore what Roblox has to offer, while still having a fun experience in which you can listen in on an engaging storyline, but still not making the event feel like a pointless grind-fest.

It's because roblox no longer has that fun charm...the soul it once had before when tix and bc was around. It just isn't that fun site anymore. Instead, we get a walmart collab game or gucci collabs that nobody asked for. Good job David Baszucki. Instead of taking item submissions for new limiteds, you let everyone make a limited. Instead of at least hiring or keeping a small group of people who actually care about the site, you let money hungry businessmen call the shots. Instead of just trying to actually improve and build on what made roblox roblox, you are just straight changing the whole platform to something else, something that isn't roblox. But of course the guy doesn't care. It's just business...right

I only got 2 eggs from it but the marine eghibit (flop egg) is the main part of my avatar to this day I remember in 2021 i was waiting so intently for it to stsrt so i could coolect all the eggs, was confused why it wasnt started yet then heard it was cancelled

Remember kids, there remains no people who worked on the old events like yolktales at Roblox. Also remember that most games on Roblox now aren't just stand alone projects or made by a group of friends. Its deadass that line from metal gear about fuckin war changing and being a series of proxy battles or whatever. Roblox cant go back, because the internet itself has changed. And even if everything from back then was brought back and Roblox had better moderation, the platforms small games that are gems wouldn't be bigger. Like I know, we all want the old days back when games like twisted murderer and mad paintball still were around and getting updates, but they have long since left Roblox. Its simply just not the same because the old charm of the internet is no-longer with us.
