I'm still remember my excitement when I'm discovered Advance games - which meant that Sonic series didn't end in Genesis age. So this trek always gives me "final, but not last" vibes.

I would replace route 99 with Twinkle Snow and Leaf Storm with Deadline maybe a Bridge Zone in the classic era other then that advance 1 for me would be between Egg Rocket and Secret Base Zone also Colors maybe Asteroid Coaster instead of tropical resort

You know? This would have really worked well if it was actually a stage in Generations. Have the classic stage be like Egg Rocket, with slower paced music that focuses on a big platforming climb up to the rocket. Then have the modern stage be like Cosmic Angel, with a faster paced tune and it's set inside the station, and is basically just modern Sonic dashing around and dodging everything/smashing robots.

Mooples No, not all of them. Angel Island Act 1 was horizontal, and Angel Island Act 2 had some vertical elements but was mostly horizontal. There was also Ice Cap Act 2, both acts of Launch Base, Mushroom Hill Act 1, both acts of Flying Battery, Sandopolis Act 1, both acts of Lava Reef, and both acts of Death Egg. In fact, only three acts in Sonic 3 were ENTIRELY vertical, those being Ice Cap Act 1, Sandopolis Act 2, and Sky Sanctuary.
Hecatia Lapislazuli What I meant was that Sonic 3 uses much more more vertical gameplay than the first two. It seems like every level has some high speed flying or falling (Except for Angel Island i guess).
She was actually very good at act 1, hitting certain springs with her hammer gave her some major shortcuts. My shortest times were with her. Act 2 on the other hand...

We need Sonic Advanced Collection remasters with larger viewports. The only reason I don't feel like replaying them it is not fun to fight the viewport but yes the games were great for their time.
Was this the only sonic level that had shorter segments with its own time limits (Sonic must reach the next section before time runs out, or he loses a life from the section becoming a fall zone.)?
Levels For sonic generations 2 - Green Hill Zone (Is obligatory) -Acuatic Ruin (Or Casino Night) -Hydrocity Zone -Egg Rocket Zone -Toy Kingdom -Metal Harbor -Dragon Road -Aquarium Park -Kingdom Valle y an extra level will be Marina Madness, Tidal Tempest, Botanic Base or Palmtree Panic
+ProjectXv2 Yeah, but it's so big that the only other 2D stage I can think of where the time limit is a problem is Carnival Night 2 in Sonic 3, a stage that's probably bigger than Death Egg 2 in the same game. Even then, the time limit still isn't THAT much of a problem; Casual play will get you through the stage pretty easily, though you won't have a lot of time left in the end. But here in Egg Rocket 1, the time limit is so strict that you actually have to do _better_ than casual play at the same relative points in other Sonic games; Treat this stage like you did Scrap Brain or Metropolis, and suddenly you've missed your flight. Combine this with how accurate you have to be to actually GET to point A to point B, and suddenly you have Egg Rocket 1 as probably the hardest 2D Sonic stage in the series. (although I haven't played all of the 2D sonic games, so don't go talking to me about Chaos Angel)
