Yummy Eggless Rava (Suji) Cake without any butter or maida. It is one of my favorite #eggless #bakingrecipes perfect for parties. Don't forget to like and share this video with all your friends!

Ingredients:
1 Cup semolina (sooji/rava)
1/4 Cup whole wheat flour (gehun atta)
1/2 Cup granulated white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cardamom powder (elaichi powder)
1/2 teaspoon saffron
1 Cup curd or yogurt
1/4 Cup milk
1/4 Cup ghee (clarified butter)
For The Glaze:
1/4 Cup castor sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 Cup chopped pistachio

You can use brown sugar. Jaggery powder doesn't work in this recipe

Is One cup same as the measurement cup which we get in market? You said 250 ml but the one measurement cup which i have is less than 250 ml

Yes, use olive oil or flavorless refined oil in the same quantity and manner.

Hello i like your recipe n wanna try it but one question is i have havells 28R bl otg few days before I bake tutti frutti cake n in that time was mention 55 -60 mints but in my otg after 25 mints it strated burning.so for how much time should I bake please reply. Thank you in advance,God

In Havells oven cakes bake very fast. I hve Morphy Richard OTG and it takes atleast 50 minutes to bake any cake but when I tried a cake in Havells it was baked in 30 minutes only. One thing you can do...bake at 160° for 45 minutes.

You can bake this cake in microwave convection mode at the same temperature for 30 - 40 minutes.

For how long can we store this cake.. i added lemon n sugar glaze nd my cake got spoiled after a day nd it tasted very sour.. however the cake was very delicious the day it was made please suggest how to store it

In the fridge in an airtight container. You can't leave it at room temperature.

Ji ha mam ki recipe to bhot he bdhiya hai aur cake to testy to bnega he... Don't worry aap gas pey bhi bna saktey ho.. aaram sey..medium flame pey rakhna 40/45 mints me cake ready ho jayega.. recipe is awesome..

You can bake it in microwave convection at 180 degree Celsius for 30 - 40 minutes

Baking Powder is a must ingredient for baking a cake. I would suggest please don't bake this cake without baking powder.

Milkmaid is already very sweet why to combine sugar syrup with it. Plus it will make the cake very heavy. But still if you want drizzle little bit milkmaid before serving.

In my OTG there is a sign of two parallel lines and a fan in between. I use that for baking cakes. It means both rods are on and the fan too.

Firstly must thank you for the recipe , I tried the cake it’s a decent rawa cake but I couldn’t help but notice a few discrepancies in what is shown in the video and what you are writing as instructions on you blog and here ..... Few things to be corrected here 1. If I am not mistaken You are baking in a 7inch tin and in instructions you have asked us to use 8inch tin ... which results in a more spread out and thinner cake thus ideally needing lesser baking time .... this issue in turn affected my cake which was over baked . ( if this isn’t the case I stand corrected ) 2. You have instructed 1/4 cup of milk but in the video you are pouring out roughly 3/4th cup of milk . Don’t get me wrong I am not writing this comment in order to discredit your recipe but I felt something went wrong and I would rather share it with you than ponder over and over about it .....

Thank you for your feedback. The measurements are correct and to be followed as it is. In case of any doubt, please read my 400+ words detailed blogpost with written notes and tips. That will be helpful. When it comes to baking tin. I have used an 8 inch tin and baked the cake for said time in my 52 litres OTG in the middle rack. The variation in cooking time happens because of the size and type of oven/convection oven you are using.

Tu kuch ajeeb ho... Usually log batter me milk daalte hai taki jyada na dal jaye... tumne batter ko milk me daala... To check ki cake cook hua hai ya nhi.. log tin se nikalne se pehle check krte hai stick dal k ki cook hua hai ya nhi...taking agar uncooked ho to fir se rakha ja ske.. but tumne tin se nikalne ka bad check kia.... Shayad tumhere pas super power hai.. but sabke pas nhi hoti.. so please sahi tarika se step batayi...
