Hexo SpikeZ But the problem with the PS2/Wii versions is that there is literally only one day level for every continent except the first one, so the night stages are pretty much 80% of the game.
I remember I needed one more Sun Medal to unlock the majority of the doors in the Gaia Temples....this level was the one I had to do to get that Sun Medal ;-;
I wasn't able to play this game anymore because of my 360 automatically shutting off for no reason and not turning back on for a few hours but the Microsoft gods blessed me with the holy backwards compatibility
Cumulonimbus Capillatus Thing is, this is what it's called in-game as well. Like Apotos~Windmill Isle, it's Eggmanland~Crimson Carnival. But you're right.
Yeah he was lying all right because forces exist.. The story sucks and the gameplay was boring.. But even if it had good story and gameplay then theres the fact eggman took over the world and they have to fix everything back to normal and then i guess sonic was tortured... He didnt seem to care so i guess they made him play eggmanland or something which isnt really torture... But seriously thats not exactly what i would call a good future
@@Doodle_Dud Obviously, you never experienced the pain and suffering some of us have. See you in Eggmanland, where their greatest attraction is your misery.
@SaiyanKage17 7 surely you’re aware of the fair trading act: businesses must not deceive or mislead others about the things they sell It’s as easy as asking for permission to use the comment
Unpopular opinion, but I like the fact that this level challenges the player. Makes the doc a bit more imposing once you see what kindsa crap he can conjure up.
Quite easily the best final level for any Sonic game. Finally seeing Eggmanland after being teased as Robotnikland since Adventure 1 was a great way to finish Unleashed. It was a true test of Sonic's speed, and the Werehog's strength.
@@theyoyogal it's meant to be a challenging final stage, it's to test you but sadly any other sonic game doesn't have stages like these with makes a lot of the endings meh compared to unleashed
@@theyoyogal that literally makes no sense A final level of a hard ass game meant to test your skill isn't supposed to be easy well in your case "fun" it's supposed to be a challenge one that keeps you on your toes not " Oh yeah this is the best level ever!" Like for real people like you are the reason we get easy ass Sonic games like Sonic forces and Generations
No this is my favorite sonic level in any sonic game I've only gotten sonic unleashed again 3 days ago and I've already replayed it 11 times and beaten it in 18 minutes
I mean... It IS the hardest sonic level ever made by Sonic Team... With such an intresting concept too i wish they let you have a choice in what you were gonna do: quick werehog sections or long speed sections that if you dont do fast the werehog sections end up being faster. If only this was the case.... Otherwise good level dang
FantomToast There are, just in lesser scales. They mostly were actual BS instead of actual challenge though. Take a gander at Scrambled Egg, Sky Base Act 2, Altitude Limit, Sky Babylon, and Metallic Madness!
@@think_of_a_storyboard3635 no.... that was me just saying that was the least amount of time length I'd like Sonic levels to have nowadays. If you're speedy it could be 8 minutes but overall I'd like there to be more area to run an 3d platform
Hammerless Penguin Dude, Sonic Unleashed made it feel more like Eggman was going to almost end the fucking world; meanwhile Forces, it kind of just felt more like he was there, but not really doing anything or much at all
forces having a soundtrack with music like this which slowly changes to orchestral in later stages when the resistance starts getting the upper hand like stage 1 having the standard sonic rock we are used to stage 2 onwards having music that captures a similar feeling to this stages after the death egg's destruction having orchestral and this and the final boss music remaining the same except classic has something similar to this in the first phase
@@flamester6014 but he is smart enough to not destroy the world. The only reason he broke it apart was to take all of dark gaia's energy essentially killing him in the process then make eggmanland (he probably would have made eggmanworld if he could though) Eggmanland is also the only place in the game with his face plastered on everything because its the only place he has control over. In forces apparently he has taken control of the whole world. But that's very unbelievable. If he actaully took control of everything he would build eggmanworld and you proably couldn't go a second without seeing his face on something. Which you never see in forces
@@DylanDude: It's a problem with the game engine; my friend told me that's why there's always lag (in the water section when the tower falls) in Adabat.
@@DylanDude No it really did push the consoles to their limits. Unleashed was a pretty ambitious title for its time. Still the best looking Sonic game to date.
Kingdom080500 I can’t agree with that because of the framerate. I think Generations’ 60 FPS and comparable visuals looks much better, rather than Unleashed’s unstable 30 FPS and non-HD resolution. They could have done better.
Eggmanland Day portions: We're the part of the level that make you pray that you get to the Werehog segments of this stage as fast as humanly possible for the only time in the entire game.
@@epicgamingwithgeorge yes 360/ps3 the day time stages I do not like that dumb roller coaster part it is too slippery >:( I liked the ps2/wii one better I mean not near the end tho after the rocket ride
More like that’s the whole point. This is Eggman’s dreamland that he wanted forever since the first Sonic game 1991 and he finally made it in Sonic Unleashed. This level is supposed to be hard and it’s not that bad. End Of The World from Sonic 06 is worse than Eggmanland.
Notice how this is mostly synth since eggman has taken over the whole stage, in forces almost all of the stages have synth since eggman has completely taken over.
@@dr.robotnik6602 Like tbh, building robots in the Sonic universe doesn't seem all that expensive. Hell, it couldn't be that expensive if you literally have a horde of robots in every corner of the globe.
@@GamingCreed47 trust me when I say this, even when using metal that can be broken by the weight of a hedgehog the average motobug costs $2000 and don't get me started on the more complex robot designs, the eggmobile cost $7000 to build and $500 a year for maintenance, orbot $10000, cubot $5000, eggmanland itself costed $48760590784126.24, the egg dragoon costed a quarter of that, my three other bosses: egg beetle: $50000 egg devil ray: $75000 egg lancer: $125000, hell, the world splitting beam cannon was almost as much as eggmanland, so, as you can see, I have to cut costs somewhere.
This final level went so hard. It literally took me 90 minutes to beat. The difficulty and the length of it made it so so worthy of being the finale stage. This is the type of thing I want from more games, especially Sonic games. I haven't played another Sonic level that was ever as difficult as Eggman Land. It was an amazing final stage before fighting the final bosses.
Very few levels in any video game have struck as much fear into me as Eggmanland has. This level took me 65 minutes the first time I'd played it. It's easily the toughest level in the series. And it's also my favourite level in the series.
I like how this connects with the true final boss of Sonic rush adventure. The idea of Eggmanland, The underground base, and the music sounds like Deep Core slowed down.
Can we all agree that this final level is supposed to be hard? This is Eggman’s dream that he always wanted it and name it Eggmanland and he was able to accomplish his goal
I love the duality of this theme The Piano is calming but all the Drums and synths underneath are so Chaotic. At like Eggman being calm that he finally achieved his dream but at the same time, in panic because sonic in on his way to undo what he did
As diverse as Unleashed is with its ost involving music of several different cultures, it also knows that sometimes good old synth sounds can perfectly set the atmosphere of the level you're playing. Colors I still felt did this to a lesser extent because the game was smaller, but it still did well with its theme park locales.
I don't know if the piano is relaxing exactly. It's mostly playing high notes or low notes, there's not much in-between. It's the kind of sound you'd hear in horror or suspense movies. I think the intent is for the high notes to invoke anxiety while the low notes invoke dread. Either way, they did a fantastic job with this track, as they did with pretty much all the tracks from this game
Had to replay windmill isle act 2 day and act 1 night over and over and over again until I reached about 60 lives and I’m glad I did, getting a game over on this stage would’ve made me rage quit FOREVER
@@impulse5674 There is an easier way. In the hub area in apotos there is a life under the bridge leading to the first act. Everytime you get it leave the area and enter it and the life will be there again for you to collect.
Reasons Eggmanland is hard: Day Sections with tight QTEs and the coaster from hell - Minorly Homing Attack mapped to square as well as Boost - Moderately Night Sections with balancing and tough enemies - Moderately The range of grabbing onto things at night - Majorly
Are you trying to imply the Wii Version of Eggmanland is easier? Personally, I found the 5 mini Werehog levels to be decently easy. The Day stage on the other hand.... *AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH*! And then you have to do it under a *TIME LIMIT*!?* I get it's the final area, so it's supposed to be hard, but my *GOD*, does Eggmanland's Day stage in the Wii version *SUCK*! I watched an LP of the Wii version by this channel called Koraltan Gaming, he was falling of the stage countless times, so I know I'm not alone when I say that the Wii version's Eggmanland isn't all that good either, at least for the Day stage, Werehog portion is pretty good, and to me, felt like the easiest Werehog level aside from Apotos, which that one was just tutorials.
I was actually the reverse. The day stage was pretty simple, but the night stages were a little challenging. At the time I could complete the whole game in one sitting.
@@austingordon3709 The day stages of Eggmanland - especially the twisty turny ground - caused me to lose a bunch of lives for a while, but the moment I mastered it I made no mistakes whatsoever. Honestly didn't feel like that long. I'm yet to do well on most levels in the HD version so I'm done for if I even make it to there
@@austingordon3709 wii version is very hard unless you -know what angle to take on the twisty bits -can wall jump with 100% efficiency -can drift perfectly -have God tier luck with the flying electric enemies -and are an epic gamer
To sum up my experience with this level: "Why am I now sledding with a roller-coaster cart?" "SONIC, GRAB THE LEDGE!" "I really don't like balancing on these pipes." "CAMERA, WORK WITH ME!" "Oh, nice, I messed up a quick time event, and now I'm dead." "I'LL KILL THE REST OF YOU AFTER I'M DONE WITH THIS ONE!"
Can we appreciate how genius it is that out of all the countries you visit, the last and most difficult one does not have any real world counterpart? And to make that even better, the Gaia Colossus symbolizes every country uniting together to fight a common enemy, that of which being Eggman.
The Gaia colossus literally just appeared right before Dark Gaia it had no relation to Eggman unless your referring to how Eggman broke apart the planet. Then that's valid ✅
@@KilosFoxo Eggman building Eggmanland for years and finally achieved in Unleashed is better than Eggman taking over the world in Forces. Eggman is just better off building Eggmanland again than taking over the world.
@@lucky_dog1228 So you're telling me that he's better off making another Amusement Park that's based off of him? Wasn't it blatantly obvious he wanted to take over the world by turning it into "Eggmanland", a world where everything fits to what his ideologies are? Its his goal since the classic games tho..
An entire continent, destroyed and rebuilt into an amusement park, named after the same guy that broke the earth apart. I'm about to end this man's whole career.
Apotos: Greece Spagonia: France Mazuri: Africa Holoska: Alaska Chun-Nan: China Shamar: Saudi Arabia Empire City: United States Adabat: Philippines Eggmanland: *AREA 51*
i may not like unleashed as much as everyone does but i'd lie if i said that this isn't one of the best sonic levels in the entire franchise it does the following: - create a sinister atmosphere that only works with a character like eggman - test your skill throughout the entire game - act as the climax for the game's dark gaia events - act as the climax of eggman's entire character arc since sonic adventure (arguably even during their first 3d outing in the form of sonic x-treme) create an amusement park with him at the very top
I bought this game recently and went into this level fully knowing it would be hard...and I beat it in just a few tries. It was challenging, but far from the hardest Sonic level Ive ever played (then again, after beating a game as brutally unforgiving as Crash Bandicoot 1, everything else seems easy in comparison--Im used to playing hard games, so I love a good challenge). The difficulty in this stage mainly comes from the trial and error involved and some of the tightrope platforming with the werehog, and if you have the reflexes, this stage actually isnt 'that' much harder than the rest of the game, just longer. If you go in with high or maxed out stats on Sonic or the Werehog, its a lot easier too. The only parts that gave me serious trouble were the sled section and the later werehog parts (before I figured out youre supposed to skip the endlessly respawning bots). I also love the gimmick of swapping between Normal Sonic and Werehog Sonic. Next to Jungle Joyride (a tough but very fun level only bogged down by some serious framerate drops), this is probably my favorite stage in the game. I'm gonna try S-Ranking it after I get the Werehogs stats fully maxed out.
You might wanna take a shot at Crash 1 Beta (Though if you do, press L1 + R1 to unlock all levels, some levels like the Aku Aku flashlight ones cause freezes) Beta Sunset Vista and Stormy Ascent are like the ultimate no-non sense raw platforming stages Though makes sense, Crash 1 is my fav BECAUSE being so simple allows it to be more concentrated on raw platforming and its satisfying as hell to ace, same with Eggmanland (Specially if you aren't a tourist and also like hack'n'slashes), getting that S-Rank is heavenly Even though Day segments were the ones I started hating because shitty FPS = lethal input drops
This stage is a pain to S Rank no matter which version your playing. 4:30 is barely long enough in the Wii version, I legit was only milliseconds away from missing a S Rank. And the HD version is just hard.
To be honest, the level being long and a living hell (on the PS3 version at least, idk about Wii/PS2) makes a lot of sense. You’re in *Eggman’s* domain, a place he created, and he’s close to achieving his goal. So respectively, he’s going to throw everything he possibly can, to stop you
This track is my favourite track of the game. Its the hardest round of the game. It takes at least 15 minutes just to complete it and its really hard not to lose at least 1 life. This music sets us on edge as we play with both versions of sonic in this game. Spirituality is playing a hard game with only one life, and the spiritually emotional music sets us on edge as we play through this long round.
Eggmanland: Oh? You're approaching me? Instead of running away you're coming closer? Me: I cant S-Rank the shit out of you without getting closer. Eggmanland: Hoho, Then come as close as you like. Me five minutes in: NO NO PLEASE HAVE MERCY I BEG YOU!!!!!
@@dekylle I hated when they changed them up after you died, then after you completed a QTE prompt they would sometimes pause then slap another one right after it catching you off guard leading to another death
Oh, if only Eggman’s dad hadn’t told him he couldn’t go to the amusement park as a kid… then we wouldn’t have had to suffer this nightmare of a level. 😔
People always complain about this level being too hard and long, but come on people, ITS THE LAST FUCKING LEVEL AND ITS CALLED EGGMANLAND FOR PETES SAKE, EGGMAN IS NOT GONNA MAKE IT EASY, HE FINALLY ACHIVED HIS DREAM, AND YOU THINK HE'S GONNA ACCOMODATE TO SONIC'S STANDARDS?! Man y'all tripping
Everyone: eggman land is soo hard Me: doesn't struggle but dies to the biolizard from adventure 2 like 20 times when I was younger.... YEH SURE BOUT THAT
GamersDecision it was bad if you were very young and weren’t that good at video games I’d say. Playing it now is so fun because it’s literally the only actually hard finale sonic level that tests your skills that you obtained through out the game (wall jumps have to be perfect, quick time events are at their fastest and longest, beams have no ledges on them “pipes”, beams have obstacles on them, all the robots have shields except the gunners, the roller coaster scene is basically a harder version of the holoska sled scene, and instead of fighting 1 titan you fight 3. Along with many more mechanics/things you had to master that I didn’t mention.)
Eggman land is the definition of hell I hated this level with a burning passion I never got a S rank ever Well, with a little bit of practice, I finally managed to get an S rank in this and complete the hotdog missions. I got used to all the traps figure out the pattern in this level
My God! This level gave me freaking nightmares, I kept dying and dying over and over when I first played it. But nothing will get me to hate this masterpiece of a game :)
Wow I ended up with more live then when I started... Took me 56 minutes the first time but now my best time is 18 minutes and I've also replayed it like 11 times for no reason
AKA, Crimson Carnival. The Crimson is from the blood of the many lives lost. There are bottomless pits everywhere, and mandatory trick ramps. Fuck em up, you fall to your death. Oh, and as you'll soon learn, you're not just playing as Daytime Sonic...
