Eggplant Parm Didn't Induce Labor But It Did Make Us Sick! Cool LEGO Stuff, More Baby Prep & HotDogs

In today's home vlog we tried the eggplant parm thing to try to get the labor going, but it didn't work. It did make us sick tho lol! Then we show you a cool LEGO app we found and some other things we ordered from Amazon. We had hot dogs for dinner and showed you the rest of the nursery prep we did and another updated look at the baby's room. We hope you had fun hanging out with us at home today! Just wanted to post a quick update, as we said at the end of this vlog, we were either taking yesterday off or posting a live show, but we ended up just taking the day off to celebrate Tim's birthday :) we didn't have the baby yet. I just wanted to update everyone. If it does happen we will be sure you let you know on some form of social media, twitter, IG, etc, so don't worry we won't leave you hanging with no info. No baby yet tho. We'll have our Flower & Garden vid out today! Thank you for being patient with us during all of this, we really appreciate it!

It’s so interesting to us in the UK to hear that you have a specific doctor that you want to deliver the baby. It’s rare to be induced, unless there’s a problem. And when labour starts we go to hospital and see whatever midwife and doctors are there at the time. Mind you, we don’t pay anything either. My boy was due 28 June, had him on the 8 July. He’ll be 32 this year! Lol.

I swear by spicy wonton soup by half baked harvest. I was desperate to evacuate my womb at 38 weeks and within 24hrs my water broke and baby boy gave mommy some relief😂 fingers crossed this baby boy comes soon for you! I am a teacher and have the joy of teaching 3-, 4- and 5-year olds how to read. Jackson’s a lucky kiddo to have such dedicated parents! I highly suggest listening to a 6-pt podcast series from American Public Media called “Sold a Story”. It’s a wonderful look at the historical and current ways Americans teach children to read. (Turns out that phonics are way more important than we knew! It’s a great listen.)

Also, perfect baby gift for Jackson, a lego table. I'd make a big deal of it and tell him that the legos and lego table is only for big boys bc you'll want those far away from toddler hands in the future. Plus, it would be good to give him a special place for them now so he'll get in the habit of keeping them contained and he doesn't get upset when he can't spread them throughout the house anymore. You can really do it up by adding storage, making it big, adding levels, etc. DIY it or buy a premade one. Either way, it's something y'all enjoy doing with him and something that will grow with boys for many years to come.

Do you want to know why they're called upper and lower-case numbers? When newspaper printers were placing letters on their board for the printing press the "Capital" letters were in the upper drawer, and the "small" letters were in the lower drawer (or case) of the cabinet that held the letters. Therefore, they were called uppercase and lowercase letters. So cool! I learned that during a printing press demonstration at a museum.

We left WDW yesterday and I thought I was having allergies and a sinus infection… nope…it’s Covid. Two out of three of us tested positive today. Fully vaccinated and we drove down, so no plane air. I totally understand you wanting your doctor to be there during labor, but in reality they are really only there when you are actively pushing. The nurses take care of you the rest of the time. So don't stress if you go into labor on a day your doctor isn't at the hospital. Good luck! ❤️

You were braver then I would’ve been, that would’ve went right back to that restaurant, that eggplant was BURNT! I’m surprised you didn’t go into labor just by looking at it, lol. Hope you’re both feeling better.
