I own the 2.0 and it kills me that the thottle only goes to 20MPH but the original goes to 28MPH. Pedal assist will get you to 28 mph but good luck trying to maintain that speed since you have to pedal like your life depends on it.
This is the first review I have seen on the 2.0 since release in June. Im just curious why it doesn’t blow the original out of the water. Stronger motor and batteries. The controller must be the same or worse. But Thank you for sharing.
They are coming out with an updated production unit end of September with the throttle unlocked to get you back to 28mph plus. I will post another video as soon we receive it. Or post it on web page Ebikeprosusa.com.
Would you be able to replace the plastic fenders with the old metal ones? Also I’m seeing that it’s slower than the original, which isn’t great to see as it was slow to begin with. Are you able to unlock it like the first? And if so, is it faster or slower than the first one when unlocked?
Yes you can add the metal fenders. They switched back to the unlocked throttle. It will be released from what I am being told end of September. Which is great news!
Exactly, I have both models and the new one only goes to 20 mph with the throttle, 28 when you pedal. I ended up taking the controller out of my old model and put it in the new one and now the new one goes 28 with the throttle lol
@@grlocalisn't the controller in the old model not designed to handle the extra amperage from the upgraded batteries and designed for a weaker motor though?
@@DVRGNT none of the methods to unlock their other bikes have worked on it. It's blatant false advertising "twice as powerful" yet only capable of 66% of the speed. After preorders sold out they also changed the advertisement to list that the throttle was locked
