3 years old... she still performing up to par? I just ordered the combo pack, too. But with the upgraded trimmer and 615 cfm blower and curious how your's is doing.
Nope. Original battery is toast. Had to charge 5 otlr 6 times just to do small yard. I still keep it around to use the blower but I'm not gonna buy another battery. Bought a gas trimmer
Same here. Love them all. No more treating gas for winter storage. No more disassembly to clean dirty carbs. No more messy oil changes. No more searching for a place to dispose old fuel & oil. Just charge and go.
Appreciate the honest review and opinion. I was just at Lowe's looking at this exact kit and you definitely helped me make my decision to buy one. Thanks and love the open carry sidearm btw.
That’s not bad at all for the money. I’ve been using gas powered 2 stroke for years now. That makes me think about going cordless for sure. Thanks for sharing WTW!🤘🏽
Cool. I think you did okay buying that. More powerful than I would have thought. You'll have to let us know how it holds up, after using it for a season.
Perfect timing!!! I was looking for both a trimmer and a blower. My very old blower and trimmer quit working late last fall. I desperately need them this spring. Thank you for your review!!
OK, I'm sold. We just moved from a tiny San Diego yard to a half acre Alabama yard. We just bought an EGO lawnmower and tried it for the first time today. It is even better than advertised, except I need something to trim the edges so I will be buying an EGO trimmer. My only problems today were the hornets and the red anthill I ran over. Bugs in Alabama are angry and mean :) ! BTW, I don't miss having to deal with gas-powered lawnmowers at all. Messy gas/oil and pulling the starter will not be missed. Thanks for the great review!
Good video! I just purchased the same thing. One helpful hint- it's not the voltage that matters as much as the Ah (watt hours). That's where you get your power and runtime from. These come with a 2.5ah battery. The mower I purchased came with a 7.5 Ah battery. There are some electric mowers that boast 80 V batteries but they have terrible torque and power.
Thanks for the video man, I've had the mower for a long time and I'm sold. TIP: for the battery to have the best performance of battery and life, charge fully and run the battery fully, store battery in cool dry place (not garage). I got 15 mows with the mower on 1 charge before it died, but I do not have a large lawn. So much worth it in gas, time and having someone clear the carbs. in a gas or me do it myself.. I bought the combo today after experience and watching this video..Done deal!
I was thinking about subscribing within the first 5 minutes and then when you started weedeating and I saw you had your pistol on I was like, “yep, this is my kind of guy right here.” You earned another subscriber.
Spotted "530 CFM" on the nozzle of your blower-That EGO blower is as powerful as most gas ones.Have Kobalt cordless machines bought these before the EGO was available.Have the Kobalt 80V mower, trimmer and blower like these.NO MORE GAS for me HATE the smell, noise, and the maintenance the gas motors need. With the cordless machines-----just charge and go!! Years ago a freind of mine bought a 5Hp Sears gas mower(when Sears was still around)I went to Lowes and bought a cordless Black&Decker electric mower. My buddies gas mower couldn't cut an overgrown area behind his lawn.I tried the B&D cordless mower and it went thru that grass like a walk behind brushhog! The charge only lasted 20 min recharged and finished the rough area the next day.Today cordless outdoor machines are MUCH better than they used to be.The machines I used before were like over 20yrs ago!
You ain't foolin us...I know what you're up to! This is gonna be your second stage booster to that flame thrower you got under development out in the garage. Stay tuned! Who Tee is off the chain!
I've picked this one up a few times in the store and it honestly feels kinda heavy. Heavier than my gas Echo. I believe there is about a 4 lb difference which is significant when you are doing a lot. Maybe the new ones are lighter.....they are also pretty expensive. I really want to like them but not sure I'm quite there yet.
Well now that was a interesting video and I love battery powered outdoor equipment. I went to Lowe's while back and bought the Cobalt 80 volt weed trimmer and it is bad to the bone I was pleasantly surprised at how much power it has and how long the battery life last.
I never minded bump head weed eaters. Just looked at the manual once, loaded it up how it said and it always worked. When it didn’t or got jammed I would beat the thing almost into the ground. Then it came out, never broke the head either.
Dude, great video!!!! You helped me make my decision. I’m just curious about the line advance. But I’ll figure that out. First time I’ve seen your channel, but I’m definitely subscribing! You seem like a guy I could fish with. In my world, that’s a compliment! Keep the videos coming bro.
Best products on the market I bought the chainsaw , hedger and grass trimmer best part no more fuel consumption and the battery are 56v much better than the competitors
I recently bought a used stihl fs130. Gave it a full tune up, valve lash, spark plug gap, and got the carb so clean i don't have to prime it or choke it even when cold. Its pretty stout but it doesn't have much in the sense of variable speed. Its either all or nothing. Thats about the only thing I don't like about it. Been debating on trying these rechargeable weed whips. Might be good for light work but I have a lot of brush to deal with on a 1 acre lot.
Great video! My pops has had an ego mower for 3 years. No worries until the throttle broke last fall. 4 months for the repair work. Otherwise it cuts. No problem with the batteries! Good luck
Got it. An old boss told me why do you think it's called work? I get it. My regret is I didn't follow my heart, made a lot of money but hated my job. Wish I'd gone for it; you're a cool guy. Always enjoy you. I'll put in the word with the big guy that you get your wish. You seem like a neat person I'd like to spend time with, and bet many feel the same!
I am right there with you. Appreciate the words. Always a matter of how much risk to take on and that adds to the stress 😆. Gotta make sure the bills are paid.
I've also bought a couple of accessories for the blower; flat nozzle and also piecing together gutter cleaning bits to use with the blower. I hope you find a way to add different trimmers so I can steal the solution from you.
Nice change of pace. I love the shooting videos, but mixing it up is never bad. I'm thinking of starting a channel...too many boys don't know how to be men. How to change oil, fix a flat, or sharpen lawnmower blades. Mix in a little tannerite and .223 and I think it will be a winner.
Electric trimmers are good, I use 2 18v ryobi for 12 hours worth of weedeating. Takes an extra 15 minutes compared to a gas but 1 3rd the weight. Run intil it over heats and grab the other. Have 3 chargers and 4 batteries, 2 small batteries first so they charge as I use larger batteries.
It's kinda like getting a suppressor for a 9mm. All the zooms without the earplugs. Get another battery and treat 'em both good. I speak from experience.
Very cool give in up date few weeks or months. Been looking at them my gas trimmer just went. Just starting to cut grass here . Just fertilized my front in side yard.
Cool video! I have a Stihl weedeater that sometimes I pull and pull and pull and don’t get started, so I usually say screw it and don’t weedeat until I absolutely have too then I go through like 3 tanks of gas to catch up. With that electric one u could do a little every time u mow and keep up!
I got the ryobi, it works great and they have a ton of tools you can use the battery’s in , I bought battery because I needed a pole saw and you only need to use it very occasionally and the gas ones gum up and won’t start when you let it set for a year in between use, it’s a great way to go for home owners
My neice and nephew live in town and got them and a mower. Dont have no gas no oil or no mixes to fuss with. And it does great for what they want. He sold his gas ⛽ stuff to buy it. I can tell ya if ya live in an HOA kinda place its perfect 👌 plenty of power 🔋. Who-tee-who
I'd probably love that thing cause I have arthritis in my right hand and my lefts not much better when I use a regular weed eater my hands get stiff and hurt for days after I have to use it all day
Wow Adam , I knew I related to the way You think when I watch Your shooting videos , but now I know why . Finish work and just get on with the other none paying work of just simply living ! , Yep I relate to that . Not enough hours in the day , end up steal Your sleep time to do a few of the things You enjoy doing (like shooting! ) , I'd like to say it get easier as You get older but I'd be lying , it just get tougher after turning 50 because You don't have the energy You had when You were younger . Oh don't blink - or You'll miss it and that's particularly important when You have young children . My daughter wants to know , Whens Wifey Wednesday coming back ? . Don't Blink , Shoot Straight Stay Safe & Stay Well !
Oh by the way YT better cough up their dues for this video - No reason to demonetize this video and I had no less than 5 double adverts ! , I even let one of the long ones play from beginning to end whilst I made a brew . Take Care , & Be Well !
@@WHOTEEWHO Yep I relate to that too , I'm with You in spirit . Maybe You could make it a monthly thing or make it a whole family thing teams Mum Vs Children target practice with the Red Ryders or mix & match Mom V Dad and teams made up of the children .
I thought long and hard about a battery chainsaw since mine sits so long but a 5 year Warranty on an echo gas won me over and it matches my trimmer wa yea ( :
