I love EGO equipment for homeowner use, but it has a loooong way to go before it fits into the commercial landscapers use. The run time is atrocious, and the batteries are so way over priced.

I use all Ego tools for my businesses. I absolutely love the backpack blower and their hand blowers. My concern with EGO are the blowers, they drain the batteries fast. We're in fall season. I had 2 leaf cleanups. I have 12 EGO batteries and went through them all, I was only about to finish 3/4 of 1 residential property. Hopefully, the 2025 lineup has some new blowers that are more energy conservative. I did see theyre releasing a 1000 cfm hand blower

man i dig ego but this blower from what i see you doing in this video, makes me sad. the price alone is crazy if that is all it will do.

40 min on turbo. Or 25 according to Amazon website. This so completely unreasonable for large commercial use if using it all day. And an echo 9010 outputs 1100cfm vs the ego at 800. It’s not the equivalent of a 60cc engine like the 9010. I guess if you have 10-14 batteries it would work. I’m sure that is economical. I own 3 hand held electric blowers. They have their place as does this one but some jobs just need gas powered equipment still. Maybe battery tech will catch up and the costs will decrease. Time will tell. 5-600 dollars for a 12 amp battery. Two of those would increase the run time to 50-80 Minute plus the 25-40 of the smaller batteries this comes with. Assuming they fit. So $1850 for a blower w two large capacity extra batteries. Awfully expensive when batteries start to go bad.

Thanks for your comments. Battery technology has come a long way AND it is still evolving. You will continue to see higher outputs and longer run times as the technology advances. The Echo 9010 is a 80cc engine, so it is more powerful than the EGO 800 CFM Commercial Blower. When comparing gas to battery, you will want to consider the annual maintenance and fuel costs. We estimated that a 60cc gas blower used ~15 hours a week would have an annual maintenance and fuel cost of approximately $2300-2500 (Prices may vary based on market costs and usage). Batteries are expensive, but it is like paying for your fuel up front. In a recent analysis, comparing the annual cost of an EGO 800 CFM commercial Blower Kit (with 2 10Ah batteries) plus adding an additional 4 10 Ah batteries, averaged out over just 2 years, the EGO blower had a lower annual cost than an equivalent gas blower. Can you tell me what the unit weighs ? I would like to purchase one for my house and my daughter and wife would be using it as well as myself . So the weight of the unit is important when it comes to women using it and all the websites do not tell the weight of it .

The blower weight (Without batteries, with tube) is 16.3 lbs. Each battery weighs 7.4 lbs. Total weight is around 31 lbs.Thanks for the question!

If you want a light backpack blower, get the Ego backpack LB6003. Another good one is the Greenworks 60v 550cfm or 80v 610cfm single port backpack blower

@@ewingoutdoorsupply damn 31lbs? I was trying to find something lighter than the BR600 within a battery backpack blower. Hopefully lighter ones come out in the future!!
