I made this video. EGO replaced my first two saws that stopped working. The third saw has worked great without fail for years and plenty of use. There must have been a component that was failing that the manufacturer finally identified and successfully addressed.
Their 650 Cfm blower had a design flaw .. the circuits couldn’t handle the current inrush during turbo mode .. they changed the PCB board.. this is probably something similar .. Mine works fine
What shit that’s no good I bought the ego 21 inch cut lawnmower and one of the battery s was stuffed from new it didn’t charge properly so took it back the next day and got anther one they should of left them made in USA AND NOT CHINA
I have the exact same issue Brand New 16" Saw - 30 Minutes Use - Complete Non Functioning i did get it replaced by Ace Hardware and they gave me a 18" saw, that is working well - they are good saws - just there is some bad batch going around it seems to me
I've been using that saw for months draining to the last bar, finally stopping when I got beat. The saw has been flawless. Like any device, there will be hick-ups. I'm glad they straightened this out for you.
I encountered exact same problem. I happened to notice that my battery fins had a corrosion haze on them. So 5 mins cleaning them up with my Dremel and I am back in business. It appears to be very sensitive to poor battery contacts.
I'm dealing with this right now as well ego is not honoring their warranty they said their warranty center is undergoing changes and won't say when it will be open again
