Sorry you got caught in the hurricane. ... :( Looks really rough in some places. Let me know your opinion - or if you have any problems ... don't wanna let people buy junk!
Hi, just saw that your batteries are all on the chargers. If they are constantly plugged in do yourself a favour and unplug them. It's not that good for Li Ion Batteries. EGO Batteries can be stored on full charge. After 6 months they discharge to 30% and you can store them over the winter.
Hey Alex ... good morning. "Ain't" lithium grreat! LOL!. Thank you for the advice, I appreciate it. That's exactly how we've been doing it. I try to discharge to about 50% (some of my other batteries can't be gauged so well) ... but If I intend to use within the week ahead or so - just leave in the charger. I don't know if it is obvious in the video - the chargers are in a PPT (Portable Power Tap) that I can just shut off with one switch. Hate starting a job - and can't finish! Take my screwdriver out to the RV for a project and it dies half way through! Typical Li is about 5% a month on self-discharge - my battleborns claim 1-2%. Though - they're on the victron Multiplex .... I still (though not needed) unplug the RV and run it down to 80% discharge every couple of months in the winter - just to exercise all of the equipment. Thanks again.
Turbo Mopar .... LOL! > Man ... you bring back some memories - as a young pup I had a Duster with a 340 ... Can't afford one now. My guess (I'll check it out) ... is the 16" vs 18" ... same as the duster - motor + trans - or gears. (RPM) ... makes a difference. Do you know of any spec difference?
Hey Matt, I simply haven't used the saw enough - to say long term - with the saw. However, for convenience I swap between the batteries - on the lawnmower. I've used the lawnmower for 2 years, and swapped with the chainsaw battery since I bought it. To date, I've not noticed any impact to performance from either battery - while mowing. But - the lifespan (I believe)_of this type of battery is 3-4 years - (about 300-500 charge cycles) - even with low use. Even so - beats NiCad ... I should do some "Tracking" and testing.
I use mine sometimes with the 7.5AH battery. Since it is a 3P battery it delivers more power to the saw. But the 2.5Ah is good for lighter work. And never forget protection gear.
I use the 7.5ah in my 1800. I can't believe the length of runtime when cutting 10-16 inch logs! Also; I would rate the 1611 saw much higher than 'homeowner' grade; providing you use at least a 5ah battery.
