EGO nexus escape 400 watt inverter review 

I love the idea. This thing is a no-brainer if you already own an ego mower or something. I'll be picking this inverter up for camping trips.

I used this for a microphone and amp to run games and play music at an outdoor party. Lasted more than 3 hours on a 7.5amp battery

Good review! I have one and like it. I already had (3 batteries) for my blower and trimmers so it was a no brainer for another portable power station. Funny how you mentioned that weird smell. I noticed it also. Not as bad as my little Bluetti portable power station. It smells so bad I had to remove it from my bedroom.

Since I already have a few batteries, I bought this for a small portable power source. It works well for smaller items. Mine will not power my small freezer or refrigerator because they both will pull over 3.3 amp when the compressor comes on. Another review of this item ran his fridge around 10-12 hrs with a 10AH battery, his must pull very low power.

This would be a great back up for my led grow lights for my grow tent.

Good idea but something was wrong with the two I got. Just had a solid red light on the first one used the replacement on a fan and ran for a while till it didn't then the red light was stuck on always a good thing to thoroughly test it out before the return window ends. Ego is far from perfect. Look at the brand-new mower with speed IQ it hasn't done well and even got a massive price drop.

Huh, that seems like a pretty good use case for someone with lots of batteries. I wonder if the reason for crazy good deals on EGO equipment is quality related, or more people bought it expecting gas endurance and only got electric performance.

So as somebody who needs to use my weedwacker once per week I could use this as a trickle charger and get more cycles out of my battery compared to using the 1 hour charger it came with because rapid charging is not great for batteries.

Great review ! I just bought one and now I'm searching a good Solar panel with an USB-C PD 100W to charge my EGO battery (But I find only solar panels with a USB-C PD 65W max 😫😫) If you find a solar panel with USB-C PD 100W I will instant buy it 🤲🏻

My girlfriend has a c pap machine and just bought the energizer one for 400$canadian to go camping with used it all night and only went down half charge im guessing thats impressive?

Can one unit charge another unit (through the 100 usb-c) to prevent running out of battery power and needing to turn off the thing being used.

Great video. Wondering if it will run a sump pump. Pump is only on a few seconds but the initial current draw might be too high?

Mine turns it's self off in exactly 2 hours each time I've used it. It doesn't happen with my 150 watt. I'm not using the USB, I was using the plug outlet.

I bought one of these. Worse case of buyers remorse ever. Good for charging cellphones, thats about it. Bought it to have a little power while camping and it wouldnt blow up my air mattress. Every other usb charging device i have ran the pump just fine

Is this the only way to charge a battery from a 12v car socket? You have to use a usb cable?

They had the Ego Fans for 100$ at Lowe’s in February.. but they are pretty darn bulky .. so I didn’t get it .. I had the 150w and it did make the fan buzz so I just ran it on high ..looks like I’m going to get one of these

You should read the directions before telling people what to do with it. It says hold the power button down for 1 half second to turn on jeez

They good but I make my own power station I have few 3000 watts pure sine wave ,1500 watts ,1100 watts ,800 watts Wich 800 watts I have 2 18volt lithium battery 🔋 5A each and have 18V lithium battery 🔋 12A have 36,48,60,72V converter 12A 10A put with 1 usb port. Have 2 part 3.1A and 3A Then I have 2 usb 2.1A and 1A next usb port with type c and fast charge then I have 110 AC OUT LET WITH TYPE C AND TYPE A with 800 watts inverter 12V DC 110AC 60Hz have 3 110 AC OUT ON IT I WITH 5WITCH AND 12 WAY FUSED BLOCK I CAN CHANGE 10 CELL PHONE AND 3 LAPTOP 💻 AND MY POWER STATION I CAN RUN IT OFF 12 V lead acid battery 🔋 to so I all way have power

I didn’t mention how long the fan will last for!!
