Ego Snowblower Review 

Thanks for the review. I used to have one and the memory of continues "banging" against the deeper snow pile or 2~4 feet high of snow bank left by the city snowplow flooding back to me after watching your video. I have sold the single stage unit few years ago and now uses the EGO 24" 2-Stage snowblower and always have every layers of my clothes dry when I finish the job... you know what I am talking about😉 What I have learned from the experience is that I should buy a snowblower based on the average size of the city snowplow pile and not only the size of my driveway.

Great video, very comprehensive. Just a reminder: CHARGE YOUR BATTERIES INDOORS. If you charge them in a cold garage, they won't hold a full charge.

I have noticed that "SPITTING" with the metal auger model. I wonder if there is a way maybe attach a little mud flap to the front to knock it back. Very impressed, did a great job. That really was some wet snow. Just a recommendation, if you going to get more of that type of snow where you live, grab a bottle of the Meguires Hybrid Ceramic Car Wax and spray the crap out of it. the housing and chute etc... It will help with snow build up and potentially eliminated any chute clogs. I bought the Gen 1 like 5-6 years ago, Rubber paddle model. LOVE IT!! i haven't replaced the paddles yet, no need so far and the two 5 amp hr batteries it came with are still going strong. EDIT: I noticed in the video both of those batteries did NOT have the fuel gauge. Make sure you register the blower and also call friggin EGO and see if they will replace those with the new batteries with the fuel gauge. I can't believe they are still packaging them with newer machines. I think that is bullshit.

This is a terrible snowblower if you have any small stones on or near driveway they will get caught in order. But first they will break the scraper bar and jam the auger solid. It will cost $22 to fix in about 1 hour to get the rock out of the rotor

I just use it for my back yard patio and lighter snow on driveway otherwise still use a gas 2 stage for the heavy days.

I have a 2 stage and last year around the same time as you we got that wet heavy snow. I'm watching how that ego is throwing the snow which was about the same as my 2 stage. I love in northwest Ohio

I'm sure Ego could walk behind a snow blower...pushing 60lbs is no joke..

It looks like your pushing it. Is it hard to push. I know a gas powered snowblower 1 stage is augar driven

I wasn't that impressed with the two seasons I've owned one of these. My personal preference is a gas Toro single stage. Even over a gas two stage for maneuverability and better able to handle wet slush.
