i must have been like... 4 years old when i first heard the original soundtrack on Doom 95. that was a long time ago. listening to this version brought back a lot of very fond memories. so glad you made this, i loved every bit of it.
The gameplay starting at 2:06 really calls for a Plasma Gun with Chaingun backup. I see the player was maxed out with all ammo. The SSG is good only for close quarters battle with weaker enemies who are too far away for the Chainsaw to be effective.
actually the song is called "This Love", by pantera, in case you are interested in the original song, here is the link, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tymWpEU8wpM.html
Well, of course since this song is from the grandfathers of Doom Metal, from Black Sabbath :) It's the song called "After All (The Dead)" from their 1992 album Dehumanizer. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NJtXMJUV6TQ.html
@@jjay9189 This is called after all (the dead) by black sabbath. This love is also in the game tho. I guess you could say it is doom metal. This cover is from black sabbath, the creators of both heavy and doom metal. The tempo is not remarkably slow as you would from a doom metal I guess it has the vibe.

Hell is a place where only 'bad' folks belong. The world we live in will grind anyone and anything that does not have power to a fine paste for sufficient compensation. The strong do what they will, and the weak suffer what they must. Hell, as a concept, is fair. There is nothing inherently fair about life. are these clips from Event Horizon? Damn good taste, favorite 40k film.
Damn dude, this is sick! For real. I downloaded it and it came on shuffle on my ipod while i was driving and i literally said out loud "shit man, this is metal as fuck!". Nice work.
Ok, i will do that and sorry, I don't want to annoy you, but if the he doesn't want to do it, can i use your music to create a music only mod? (with the idea of uploading it).
Guitar: LTD JH 600 - standard E tuning. 010 ernie ball strings. EMG 81 pickup. No effect pedal used. Only VST plugins with Reaper in this order (top to bottom): TSE 808 // Poulin LeGion // Redshiftpickupreplace // Kefir (impulse): pre-amp: JVM preamp // Kefir (impulse): amp: EL34 57 Cap grill // Then I added just 10 % reverb with iZotope. Dual guitar recorded with two guitars 100 % left and right channel. Also a third guitar used for the lead parts with stereo mixing in iZotope.
Refueling Base. Super high enemy count. Limited ammo except for pickups in the room with all the former humans. Danger around every corner. No SSG. You're on your own.
Dude, I already made that one :) it's E1M8 DooM (sign of evil). Remember that many of the DooM songs are used in several levels / other DooM games aswell. Check out all my videos before asking me next time, okay? ;)
YES! Amazing work Tom! Have you ever messed around with making brutal metal/sludge versions of any Doom tracks? The guitar tone you have is the best for honoring the original music but it would be cool to hear some drop A versions that sound like thunder for fun :) (This is not a request or anything I am beyond pleased with everything you've made).
Not sure what you mean. I make the songs as heavy / brutal as I can. If you listen to my BYHAE project songs, they are originally created by me. Maybe that's more up your alley? Drop tuning will not make a sound more heavy. It's all in the sound and how the bass is mixed and then the mastering in the end. I found out that guitars tuned in E sound much more heavier / tight and better than low tuning.
