Dude these guys are fucking sick, It's essentially a supergroup of multiple solo artists, members from another band, as well as a pretty highly recognized producer. I think that gives them the edge we're all hooked on xD
Totally no wasted time spent faffing about "setting a mood" -- just right into the aggro. Nice. Reminds me of Refused a little bit. I really like how the different vocal styles wind together and play off each other so that it's not just shouty-shouty (which is ok too).
Dog, I can't believe how good y'all are. Honestly. I have been listening to post hardcore since 1997 man. You guys have got something special going on here.
It's a *big* snare sound (as opposed to something with a bit more pop or snap), I can definitely imagine how it was recorded/mixed -- but it's not "fake" -- if anything it sounds *less overproduced* than most snares.
