Most of this country is a desert, with many facets. The people who live there have learned to live in the middle of these large expanses of sand. Director: Jean-Etienne Frère Original title: Somewhere on Earth: Egypt
As an Egyptian who traveled a lot, visited and lived at different western and eastern countries, when im bk to Egypt i wanted 1st to maintain same life style i am used to. Then one day when i left behind city life, fast cars, night life and corporate business, I went in a tour by car, visited most of Egypt's cities, but laying on the desert's sand at night, looking at the sky where u cant find an empty spot without a shiny star, i finally realised how my ancestors were able to stablish such amazing civilization and build those mind blowing Pyramids, temples and cities. They didnt have all these stuff we have today that keep our minds confused and stressed all the time. They were laying on the desert's sand , looking at the stars in the sky and had peace of mind then the result is the saying " Egypt came 1st then history came after ".
The (unnecessary) background music is so loud that the narrator cannot be understood and, in places, instead of using subtitles English translation is provided at the same volume as the native speaker so neither can be heard properly. Very poor production standards. Turned off.
I would've loved to have been able to hear the translator speaking. Unfortunately the background music and people talking was too loud so couldn't hear what was being said 😞.
The unnecessary background music is annoying. Even the double language creates noise. I can not understand why the producer of the video has not taken notice of this most important point. We stoped viewing the video.
The worst documentary I have ever watched on RU-vid to date. The sound quality is atrocious. Noisy background music coupled with English narration over French speaking individuals makes for a cacophony of noise and an aberration to the ears. Switched off within three minutes. Very badly produced and a shame for what could have been a very educational program. Must do better.
