I have traveled more than 100 flights during the last twenty years on different international airlines for more than 15. EgyptAir is one of the best companies I have traveled with in terms of service, punctuality, and the efficiency of the pilots in checking and landing. Perhaps the price is not the best, but in exchange for the service, in terms of the weight of luggage and food, perhaps. We ask for an excuse
When I worked on my last flight in 2002, this is what the hard product looked like and dare I say…the catering then even looked better. I guess the low expectations you had, made for an unexpected decent experience. Interesting watch though, felt like a blast from the past! Thank you for this review, so I can make an informed decision in case they show up on my radar on one of my future destinations…I think I’ll pass 😅
For a long haul, yeah I wouldn’t be too happy, but I find seats like this infinitely more comfortable than anything you’d get on a narrow body aircraft, which also serves the route- so to me, it’s a small win lol.
Flew EgyptAir business on their A330-300 from Cairo to Johannesburg about a month ago. I fully agree that it was better than expected. Not impressive but also not as bad as other reviews may have you believe. The lounge in Cairo was a disaster and my wife and I left after 15 minutes. Poor food offerings, uncomfortable chairs, and loud TVs playing different stations.
Agree their lounges are horrible but I was just there a few days ago and they seem to be remodeling them now. There was a contract lounge available instead of the closed MS lounge and it was really good!
Congrats on reaching 100k Kevin. Well deserved. I’ve done Egypt air a couple of times and didn’t like it one bit. I guess I’m spoiled with all the other great Middle East Carriers. But if it’s cheap I may try it again. Thanks for the great review.
awesome job! i was always watching your videos in the summer. you have the best in-depth videos, and your voice is relaxing compared to those hyped up flight reviews.
The reviewer is too arrogant. The quality of flight is by far better than most equivalent domestic flights in the US or Europe. It's funny when he keeps repeating "not as bad as I expected".. Who said that your expectations are the benchmark? ...
What? lmao. Did you comment on the wrong video? I'm no defender of North American carriers, but MS' best business class product (certainly not the one in this video) is on par with the current worst offerings in North American from AC and AA.
Good review. Quite an expensive route, in Business. Think I'd choose Emirates. But I liked the multi-pass food service; no worrying about the main getting cold while tackling the salad.
Multiple airlines have really good redemption rates on these intra-Middle East routes. Will be flying MS again soon as their award business class ticket (20k) was cheaper than the cheapest cash economy ticket ($450).
All of my flight videos are published 3-6 months after filming, depending on when (in the context of a long trip) it was filmed. This was the end of October.
Great review! I have flown their new 787, last delivered A321neo and also their a330 and b737. To be honest, the 787 and their A321 were great. The A330 was also okay, but outdated as you mentioned before. My only concern with EgyptAir is their inability to maintain the quality and cleanliness of their new planes as I boarded their new planes and already saw it was in a state of beginning decay haha! That really is a pity.
As an Egyptian, I'd say EgyptAir is always the airline with a nice little "gotcha" at every random turn like those bathrooms. Language isn't an issue for me, but for their flight to the world's most diverse airport, they couldn't send any English-speaking cabin crew? Come on! It also doesn't make sense to me why they're a dry airline. The country is not religious enough to warrant such a policy. CAI is definitely not an airport to transit through, however if you have a substantial layover in business class, you can get a free hotel booking at Le Meridien across the parking lot from T3. Their lounges are an embarrassment, and have you heard those announcements? Obnoxiously loud. Also, last time I was there the language at least in Arabic used to say "EgyptAir announces the departure of flight ____ to ____. Please go to gate". That first half of the announcement is always a nice little shock, because it makes you think you missed your flight! Fun!
I have the Le Meridien booked on my own for an upcoming short layover- but now hearing that MS chose that hotel, it makes me wonder if I should choose a different one haha.
Always remember a CAI to BAH flight on Egypt Air on a B737-200 many years ago. I was invited to the flight deck for landing to witness the Capt. hit the First Officer violently several times for some issue with the pressurisation. Not done humorously. I'm sure the F.O.'s arm would be bruised later.
I’m on vacation in the US right now, a bit behind on your last two videos but this was great. “If you’re not Italian it’s a take on Tiramisu” LOL! 😂 Something about MS is very suspicipus as they sold tickets from BKK through 2021 but never brought the route back… thank god we didn’t buy it. I
To be fair to them, quite a few more 'reputable' airlines did the same thing towards the end of Covid restrictions, but yeah, BKK has been a weird one for them.
guess, what, im going to travel from DXB to CAI on A330-300 Egyptair, after 3 week😭. oh by the way, your fllight was empty because it's usually egyptians who travel's on egypt air, and the day of ur board wasn't a holiday for employee's
@@tfft Oh my bad, i said it in general lol, because most of the times it's true.By the way, I think you check in was empty because you were too early or late.
Services on European airlines are declining. Check Lufthansa, KLM, British, and Air France, they service you as discount airlines but charge you as full service airlines. Middle Eastern airlines such as Qatar, Egypt, Emirates are among the best.
I been to that same lounge. Was very good and the food was amazing. Was flying with Oman Air and that lounge was way better than their flagship lounge in Muscat.
Lovely review as always! EgyptAir uses a bunch of aircraft for this route, personally I do this segment 2 times a year, and it ranges from an A321neo to a B777-300ER and their beautiful new 787s. Something to note though, Egyptair's cash fares are usually ridiculous for this route and can sometimes can be the same as Emirates during the summer season. Also that blanket gives me a lot of memories, I probably have 20 of that stashed in my closet. lol. Also, tip on Cairo International: Walk into terminal 2 if you can, it is a lot more cleaner, organized and generally better plus it has a proper priority pass lounge that is 10x better than whatever Egyptair offers in T3. (and for the clock thing it's been a while since Egypt observed DST and was just passed in 2023 after they abandoned it in 2015, the entire country was ah...)
Yeah when I booked this it was meant to be a 787 lol. As for the lounges- good note for next time but I just passed through again some days ago and it seems they're renovating the MS lounges now. One was closed and in lieu we had access to a really nice contract lounge in T3.
@@tfft Finally, thats good news. The MS lounges in T3 are terrible. If you ever pass through again and can walk through T2 do so! In fact, MS operates certain routes and sometimes uses the check in facilities of T2 for their routes to their "flagship" destinations like Dubai, London etc and their North American routes. Looking forward to hearing about the mess that was CAI during the clock change. 🤭
Yes- and that's what I said a few times in the video, "Misrair" refers to the airline's previous name, not the name of the country. Thanks for watching 🩴
all the Egyptians (whom most of have never traveld) are reacting Egyptair is one of the best Airline 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 What Egyptair gives you in business Qatar Airways, emirates and Etihad will Give you much more and better in ECONOMY !!
Ref the rain in Dubai: Kevin, my daughter lives in Dubai and the Dubai authorities are trying to see if they can grow vegetables or fruit, so are clod seeding with potassium and sodium chloride to induce rainfall. She tells me that sometimes it falls as a light drizzle, sometimes very heavy. The issue is that there are few drain, so the rods flood. Also the houses are not designed for rainfall and the roofs can leak. Enjoy your stuff, thanks, Kevin.
I don’t think toilets on Egyptair have ever been clean - it’s just not a priority -?it’s a place for dirty business 😶departure day sounds just about right - last time I was there it took 3 hours to clear everything before arriving at the lounge .. the Lounge lol
Wow,video 18 min 17 of them sharing info about Dubai airport information and airport maps and - 1 min talking about Egypt air headset , do you need more info about the airport like how many people work there and the security cameras and security detail so you can share more info ?!
