I have some issues with Isaiah 58 and 60 being used as evidence of a solar YHWH cult in monarchic Judah. Those passages are from the Persian era. Stanhope made note of the era with a later verse, but there he acted as if Isaiah really wrote the whole book of Isaiah in the 700s BC, which is not something many scholars find remotely plausible.

Considering that Canaan had been a vasal state of Egypt, I wonder if the Egyptian-styled seals are an administrative motif that's a hold over from this period where Canaanite kings were both the subordinate to the pharaoh as well as an extension of his authority in their territory.

Yep, in the Jewish story when Pharaoh Enoch/Necho (they didn’t have vowels either) goes up to King Josiah, he tried to convince Josiah to let him through by saying that since there is only one highest God/immortal in both their cultures/religions then Amon-Ra was Yahweh. Long story described: King Josiah’s low-born spy-master (“prophet”) told him that Yahweh was saying to listen to Pharaoh Necho and let him through to fight the Neo-Assyrians. However Josiah did not believe the prophet and decided it was politically better “not let Pharoah Necho through” [most likely tried to set up a trap] and as the prophet had warned him he died fighting the Egyptians and the Jews that surrendered let Pharaoh Necho through and even with the losses Necho defeated the Neo-Assyrians [likely with use and more losses from Jewish soldiers]. Later on Jesus warns of the signs of Mighidon which is the mountain where Josiah died for not listening to the prophet that Yahweh was ok being compared to other Highest Gods in better/stronger more free cultures.

"The Nelumbium (Indian pink lotus) speciosum was formerly cultivated in Egypt, for it is mentioned among others by Herodotus, and Theophrastus assures us that its cultivation required particular care, Its rhisomes do not survive the drying up of the soil like those of the nymphaea: and consequently, in order to thrive, they must be constantly submerged. The conditions necessary for its growth are therefore, very rare in Egypt, and accordingly it has gradually disappeared from that country on its cultivation being given up. It is generally assumed that it was not indigenous to Egypt, but introduced there at some very early period. I do not know whether there is any specific information upon this point; but its disappearance, after it had ceased to be an object of cultivation, supports the view that it was originally introduced. As it had no connection with the great phenomenon of Egypt-the overflowing of the Nile-it must have held a very subordinate rank as a sacred plant, compared with the blue and white lotus…."The flowers and nearly all the leaves of the Nelumbium are lifted above the water; those of the Nymphaea, on the other hand, float upon its surface; the myths of floating divinities therefore naturally attach themselves to the latter. The Flemish legend refers to the N. alba; the N. pubescens is venerated in the Indian Archipelago; and in India too, although the Nelumbium is the more sacred plant, the floating lotus is also venerated, and lamp wicks are made from its spiral vessels and used in the temples. Does it not seem natural, therefore, to conclude that the earliest forms of the myths of floating divinities referred to the Nymphaea, and were subsequently transferred to the more beautiful allied plant, the rose lotus? "" The Atlantis: a register of literature and science,v2,p.177 "The pink lotus ( Nelumbium speciosum) {India Lotus} produces a seed head 'shaped like a wasp's comb'. Each contains up to 36 seeds the size of an olive stone, which are sometimes called Egyptian beans. These and the roots of the lily were eaten in ancient times. Models of the seed heads made of clay and faience have been found but none dates from earlier than the Eughteenth Dynasty, when the pink lotus was introduced into Egypt." 19:38 - Yes, absolutely. This understanding is echoed, in fact, by some of the legit occultists in the past, such as the Jewish Kabbalah practitioner, Eliphas Levi, in his 'The Book of Splendours': _"The Israelites were forbidden to give divine concepts the figure of a man or of any animal; thus, on the ark of the covenant and in the sanctuary, they dared sculpt only cherubs, that is, sphinxes with the bodies of bulls and the heads of men, eagles or lions. These mixed figures reproduced neither the complete form of any man, nor that of any animal. These hybrid creations of impossible animals gave to understand that the image was not an idol or reproduction of a living thing, but rather a character or representation of something having its existence in thought."_ Most modern people not educated in this ancient symbolism (a la Christians) cannot catch the nuance here. They imagine, instead, NO depictions of Yahweh or his heavenly entourage, because he is falsely assumed to be invisible, omniscient, omnipresent, etc.

The Dendera can be better understood if someone knows the Hindu decans, and even better when the correlation to the I-Ching is studied.Lotus is the keeper of the well, 2nd decan Capricorn. Look at the kinds of structures that have stood for thousands of years in many , many countries worldwide. Just the architecture alone would lead one to assume that the people of those era's/times were more than capable of cohesive literature that might just be exactly what was written. Why would they piss around ? Maybe the bigheads that did the translating weren't as smart as they thought. No drama here, just asking questions that might give a different perspective.....

They used those symbols (Phoenicians using Egyptian iconography, Israelites using winged disc's) because all religions bar none are all hiding the same thing using different gods or symbols depending on the culture.. recall the famous teaching of bhudda and the lotus. The entire sermon is just him holding up a lotus.. man decends into matter through the 4 elements and the journey out is the same process in reverse.. this is symbolized by a lotus..a lotus will grow in water with its roots in the earth . It grows from earth to water to the air and reaches for the sun (fire) fire is transformation.. when a person goes through the mystery schools they are learning how to "know thyself" to directly experience their divine part here while alive.. they go through a symbolic death where they experience directly what becomes of us.. this is why they would say that people who undergo the mysteries lose their fear of death.. the sun is symbolic of our divine self.. our spirit.. so horus is symbolic of that transformed person and is coming out of the lotus which symbolized him ascending back up the 4 elements .. Ba'al , Tamurz Jesus krishna Odin and every other "sun" god is symbolic of this process.... as for the winged sun .. that is your spirit that now has the ability to fly or enter the Realm of air (air is symbolic of thought or the mine) it is your spirit which can now soar above the earth and water

The motif of God speaking everthing into existence in Genesis comes directly from the Egyptian creation myth. This motif is not found in the creation myths of the Greeks, Hittites, or Mesopotamians. Later Hellenised Jews like Philo of Alexandria identified this creative speech of God with the Logos of Greek Stoicism (Philo called Logos God's first-born son). In the New Testament this Logos appears as Jesus.

A lot of cultures from long ago worshipped the sun god from Egypt to the Aztecs that may be a reason why Catholics make pictures of Jesus with the sun surrounding his head. The Aztecs made human sacrifices to the Sun god just like the Baals. The jews decided to use bulls and sheep as sacrifices instead but they would also mimic other cultures and sacrifice their kids also. Before the jews were established as a culture a lot of these stories has been around such as the Sumerians. The story of Cain killing Abel sounds like the story of Seth killing Osiris. The story of referring to both Jesus and Satan as the morning star seems to come from an earlier story.

Any possible connection between the Old Testament hero Joseph and the ancient Egyptian figure Imhotep? What if the name Joseph is a corruption or variation of the name Imhotep? Imhotep was a chancellor to the Pharaoh Djoser, perhaps similar to Joseph being second in command in Egypt to the pharaoh. Joseph could explain dreams, which suggests that he was wise, and Imhotep was also associated with wisdom. Joseph's story shares many similarities with that of Jesus (it's possible that the gospel authors borrowed from the OT Joseph story when writing about Jesus). Having said that, Jesus was a healer, and Imhotep was also linked with healing. Also, Joseph was the product of a miraculous conception and God may have been Joseph's father, similar to how God was Jesus's father. This would make both Joseph and Jesus demi-gods, since their mothers, Rachel and Mary, were mortal women. Imhotep was also a demi-god, whose mortal mother was named Kheredu-ankh. Imhotep and his brother Amenhotep is similar to Joseph and his brother Benjamin. Joseph saved Egypt during a famine, which makes Joseph a savior like Jesus. There is a late story about Imhotep and a 7 year famine and the Pharaoh's dreams, which eerily sounds similar to the story of Joseph. Imhotep was also associated with the Greek healing god Asclepius, who is also very similar to Jesus.

*Yahweh as the sun* 🌞 doesn’t make sense in Genesis 1, since he speaks it into existence on the fourth day, just as he does the Moon. If Yahweh is the sun in G1, he is also the moon. G1 is written as if days, including dusks and dawns, exist independently of the sun and the sun just happens to appear during the day. That is a simpler explanation of the 3 dusks and dawns without a sun. But the rest of Stanhope’s assessment about G1 makes sense. “When Elohim began to create the skies and the land…” flows better than “In the beginning…”. Also, sticking more closely to the Hebrew, we have Skies, Land, and the waters identified in in G1:1-2. The traditional translation is awkward and the “Earth” should include its waters, but the text reads as if it is a separate entity.

Hezekiah had an alliance with Egypt, and it was very common back then to share art and other forms of symbology in order to publicize your alliances. Also Hebrew was a language that is arguably OLDER than Egyptian, and the words used in Hab are concepts, not dieties, that existed in Hebrew throught before they ever came to Egypt. Much like "Fate" is both a concept and a God among the Greeks. The fact that there was commonality among languages doesn't mean that Israel was giving credence to them!

@@pedrosaborido9648 I don't have to read the Hebrew scriptures to claim that, although they do claim that but history verifies it. There are academic linguists (you know, professors at universities who study this professionally?) who easily verify this. Hebrew is the oldest alphabet hands down, and many words in Sanskrit (which a lot of scholars claim is the oldest language) could arguably have their roots in Hebrew seeing as how many words are so very similar. Sumerian, the oldest written semetic language (verified older than Egyptian) is almost word for word Hebrew in many respects; it's just written differently and has slight variations in pronunciations of the B's and V's.

@@hrgirl26 Wrong. Hebrew was merely a late dialect of Phoenician and nothing special. A Paleo- Hebrew alphabet can't be found before the 1st millennium bce in reality. Linguists do also confirm that Sumerian was a language isolate and not semitic at all. As a spoken language it was gradually replaced around 2000 bce by Akkadian which was a semitic language.

*Some Israelites thought Yahweh was El’s underling* Dr Kipp Davis points out that the Dead Sea Scrolls version of Deuteronomy 32:8-12 clarifies that El Elyon was the chief god and Yahweh one of his underlings. The current biblical text (Masoretic Text, Leningrad Text, and translations from them) doesn’t make sense, since the term Israel is used as if it means All People as opposed to Jacob, who represents the Jews. No, Jacob *was* Israel. Starting 24:25 in video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g2cTJcYqu2c.html “When El Elyon apportioned the nations, when he divided the sons of Adam, he fixed the boundaries of the people according to the numbers of the sons of the gods (not Israel). Thus Yahweh’s portion is his people Jacob, the region of his hereditary property.” So El Elyon divvied up the land and Jacob’s people got Yahweh’s territory.

I believe a lot of archaeology that is being mentioned in that specific video has less to do with the influence of Egypt on Israel, but the influence of _ Sumeria, Mesopotamia/ Babylonia the images seem to be of the Sumerian God's who were deified/ or worshiped in those time. The Book of Enoch tells us that "The watchers" or the falling where of the seraphim angels mode, or what those would call the anunnaki. The gods of Kemet seem to be either attributes of nature that the_ Egyptian deified or they were statues and replicas build in worship of those seraphim creatures. Many Kings of Israel showed signs of idolatry,_ so making any Graven image of their Elohim YHWH would have put them in error or _ transgression of their Constitution, but unfortunately it seems that throughout certain periods some Kings may have done so. May I add though it seems that; maybe the creations of the Elohim of Israel are symbols and attributes of the Creator's _ "personality or character.."
