This song was huge. We were dancing 🕺 to it at the super underground and chic “the Apartment” (had to be a club kid) in Los Angeles in the mid eighties, and at Prince’s club. Hollywood’s Florentine Gardens played it every Saturday night along with “One More Shot”. Such memories. Our Ba-Tzu clothes from the Beverly Center inspired by Lisa Bonet. Damn we had great teenage years growing up in Los Angeles 83-89. My memories of this song are pivotal. Pete Burns was huge to us as well.
Mid 80:s going out clubbing. This song would come on around 3:30/4 a.m. and the dance floor would be packed. Man I wanna go back. Much better times and music. IMO
I remember this song in my tape mixes that I shared with my friends back in the day; now my 13 year old daughter loves old school music especially Egyptian Lover and I am proud of her for her vast taste in music. This is a fantastic video. Thank you!
Many moves in popping come from belly dancing. The arm waves is one of those moves. Most of belly dancing requires muscle isolations. Which is why it's easy to see a crossover into popping.

What a shame that hip hop music turned so hard towards gangster rap and essentially abandoned the fun dance/party feel it had from the late 70's thru the late 80's.
Saw this dude live many times in the 80's. Still have a this 12" single that I caught. Can't remember a lot of it, everytime he ever came, a shitload of X would suddenly arrive in town the night of or the night before. A club of about 1500 people and probaly 1490 of them would be rolling their ass off........Good Times😂😂😂
