Once I knew a mummy,. I did not liked the guy, you know, he was kinda rude. I mean, he was all salty and stiff, had a dead-pan dry humour, I could never unwrap what was wrong with him... Sorry, but I had to...

One of my teachers once showed a video he found, of a similar presentation, with a whole piglet. He narrated it while showing the process. For the removal of the organs, the guy made the egiptian cut and removed the entrails, washed them and placed them in pots. Then he skipped the part were they removed the rest of the organs, then proceded to "purifie" the body, with a seasoned red wine, then covered it with salt for a while. Another skip and he applied the "aromatic embalming oils" (in his case, melted butter mixed with herbs and pepper), and wrapped it wit bandages made of tin-foil and cheesecloth, For the amulets, whole garlic cloves were used. The "sarcophagus" was a ceramic baking tray, with a ceramic lid, sealed with fresh clay. The final was the "high priest" taking the "mummy" to "the burial place" and "laying it to rest for ethernity", well... you know, actually was a cook, sending the fancy roast to the oven, for 120 minutes or so... It was a history video, to explain mumification, but why waste a perfectly good piglet, rigth? It was just missing the brain scoop, but they had the whole head cut off at the first scene skip.

Great presentation. I am finding this quite fascinating because it's almost a polar opposite of what my people believe, and that is once you die the body is of no use so we burn the body on a pire to turn it into fertilizer. Then spread the ashes onto the persons farm. The belief is that the persons spirit won't be confused where they should be if their body is gone. And that the last gift from the person who died is life (the fertilizer). We believe in the ciclicle nature of the universe and flow with it. We have no god or goddess, no deity of any kind because they are all weaker than us and we do not have room for the weakness that comes with religion. And as history has proven time and time again that all religions are lies designed to control the masses, we are absolutely uncontrollable. You will never find a shred of religious iconography with my people. So as you see, quite the contrasting difference of view of death.

that the language that the Copts speak has nothing to do with how the ancient Egyptians spoke. Copts speak Greek, and I now challenge him to come up with any ancient word from what these Copts speak today. The first mistake, Ra, does not mean the sun

I’m tired of everybody talking about it and showing depictions animations and figuring and the errs they were kept in now when is someone actually going to show a documentary on doing it heck I would be willing on being the individuals it gets mummified for that purpose granted it would have to be upon my passing. Any legit medical association want to take me up on my offer.
@carloshenriquezimmer7543
@carloshenriquezimmer7543 29 дней назад
There is at least one burial house in USA that does the full process, you can even have your custom sarcophagus. It is not cheap, even for burials' standarts, and I don't remember wich state it is. Or you can be sent to be prepared in Egipt, they used to do that, for a substatial price. I heard of both in the late 90s, IDK if they'r still going. And there is one documentary were they did exaclty that, but you can barely see anythyng. You know, having someones braisn sloshed and scooped out of from the nose is in bad taste for a TV show; it is maybe even worse than Ancient Aliens...
