I'm a big fan of EHEIM. So I bought it to try. Big disappointment. Quality of the product is obviously top notch, it's Eheim, but it doesn't work. You can actually even see on that particular clip. This thing, for some reason, does not create enough suction power to lift all the bad stuff up into the hose. You have to wait, and wait, and wait until it will eventually go down to the bucket. But in the meantime you will drain enormous amount of water. 10 times more than I would drain using the cheapest, crappy quality gravel cleaner. So I removed that massive plastic "bell" and then it works a bit better. I thought it's gonna be perfect.
Rafal Balcerzak I'm pretty satisfied with it as i use as a substrate JBL Manado which is very light, anything more powerful will suck it right into the bucket.
+Fredo Ingrid Rocchia I think that also the height of the aquarium has a role. In my case it will take out a lot of dirt, but also uses a lot of water.
Very nice video, well shot, plenty of time to look at plants and fish and the aquarium generally and nice music as well. Unfortunately, I don't think much of the product. It didn't seem to be very effective at removing fish waste. As I use Tetra Easy Balance I'm looking for an electrically powered gravel cleaner that thoroughly filters out the very fine particles of waste and returns the water to the aquarium.
I would suggest getting a cheap regular gravity fed cleaner tube hooking the end of the tube to a small powerhead you can submerge. In the center of the tube I would put inexpensive disposable Automotive fuel filters. I've never tried this but I know I can make it work and no time real cheap
+TechTronic9000 I buy it yesterday. I look several times your video (thx for that) but when I shake it, water doesn't come out (I don't want to use my mouth anymore xD). But i think i buy the wrong tool. I just want to aspirate the grim, not the water :/
+Jeannette LOUIS You need to have a big water drop (aquarium high enough) this will not only drain water fast but it will also dislodge high amount of dirt.
+TechTronic9000 Yes it drain high amount of dirt...when I aspirate manually. I notice your advice, thx a lot, but the shop assistant who sell me this product told me that it will work with my aquarium (120L)
This product doesn't appear to work any better set a basic gravity fed plastic tube with an open Bell on it. I have to add what a fish tank looks really nice that music was unbearably annoying.
