I think Kasper and Danielson should be on the Roster. Kasper has shown he is capable of playing and has the size and ability. They need the Experience.
Should have drafted Necas in the first place. It was down to Rasmussen and Necas on their list in 2018 which was a rather thin draft anyways. Rasmussen had less even strength goals and was a PP specialist. Holland's mysterious draft decisions
Things really got bad when Jim Nill left for Dallas and took Joe McDonnell with him. Look at Dallas's roster / scouting /drafts since Nill went to Dallas and tell me who was the best GM we had in Detroit. Here's a clue - we held on to the worst one the longest
LGR!! MY 2nd fave team, excellent commentary, great crowd! Always entertaining...almost want to buy a Trouba jersey...I live in Winnipeg...so that might burn Jet fans..😅
Wasn't Necas tossed all around the lineup most of the time with not a lot of PP time? He really could get more points next to Larkin 5v5 and on the PP with us, the talent is there.
What I want to know is why there appeared to be no communication between Lalonde and Steve about Justin Holl. Not sure why Steve would sign a 3 year contract on a guy that Lalonde doesn't play. It's not like Lalonde didn't know Holl's playstyle and it's not like Steve didn't know Lalonde's structure and how he coaches. For him to just never use Holl is super weird that he got a 3 year deal, such a shame and waste of money.
That was on Yzerman - no idea what he was thinking with that one - and that was the response nearly universally . I had watched a lot of leafs games - and I was thinking WTF are they seeing that no one else is . Garage sales ain't working
Are you guys for or against trading away the pick. There's a lot of flashy minor league numbers with these prospects but I find myself underwhelmed of hoping for another steal pick like Cossa or ASP at 15. It just doesn't seem like there's a lot of high hopes past the top 10-12 picks this year but maybe that's just me?
@@hockeytownluv2012yes I know Lol but finally got it you say that because Zadina had bad experience to Detroit but it was mostly his fault so it would be unfair if he advise Necas to not going to Detroit based on that
Berggren, Fabbri, and a 1/2 round pick depending on how hard Carolina negotiates. Carolina is going to want to replace Necas offense for cheap and I still don’t believe Yzerman views Berggren as part of the future. If the Wings are confident Kane will resign I’d be comfortable moving Fabbri to open up a roster spot and clear some cap. I’m not to worried about picks because they’ve already made a ton of selections and the team is supposed to start being good and a Necas is more valuable than a late first imo.
@@justinshields3819 I like Fabbri but he’s pretty replaceable especially if they want to add some rookies next year. He’s only got 1 year left I think and in a trade he’s be a solid replacement for a team trading a productive player.
If the Canes leaves Necas it Will be for a good roster player or a good prospect (Bergy) and obviously this year Red Wings draft pick or I'd be surprised if they accept the 2025 or 2026 1st round pick but I doubt it especially for the 2026 draft pick
Ryan is right with Nay-Chass. He confirms it in this video….after pronouncing it wrong twice himself 😂 😂 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Hk73mX9XqNU.htmlsi=Il-rM1OrcR9OkJYW
Ras is ac30+ point player not worth his recent Contract. Veleno is the same and change is needed. Bergs is probably wanting a trade I would not blame him because the coach is not good with players.!!! He calls out the young players for defense and not the vets and we know what players I am talking about.,we don’t need anymore busts. KH fast tracked Ras who I was hooked would be a power forward but he doesn’t have it in him.
Necas > Ehlers. Don't get me wrong, Ehlers would be a help, but by the time our contention window opens, he'll be an old dude on the roster. Could he help us get to the playoffs? Sure. But we're not gonna go very far. ...furthermore, 100% on board with Copp and Holl. Complete disasters. If there's a way to dump those contracts, we absolutely should. Maybe there'll be a team who needs to reach the cap floor and can take one of these off our hands. I know Stevie didn't sign those players for the roles they eventually landed in on this team. Copp was brought in to be a second liner, and Holl on the second D pairing. Instead, Copp played some nights on the fourth line, and Holl spent the year getting acquainted with the press box.
Hard pass on both . 60 pt guys (necas had one 70 pt season and a bunch of meh ones) who will want big money (necas apparently wants 7.75)and ehlers has one year left. Not to mention the assets and seider and raymond needing new deals Now if we’re willing to move debrincat and his salary to replace him necas that’s something else but a lot of ppl think debrincat is better than he is
Dont want anything to do with Ehlers. Between what it will cost to get him and the extension he's going to require, it's just not worth it. Necas wouldnt be a bad pickup, but honestly, it wont make much of a difference. We dont have a superstar, nor do I see where we get one. Without a superstar, we arent going anywhere anytime soon.
The saying years of rebuild don’t matter and we shouldn’t feel impatient because holland was in charge is getting old. I’ll agree on that. He was an unmitigated disaster at signings and drafting his last half dozen years with the Wings though.
