EHX Canyon - Sample & Hold 

I got one of these the other day, thanks for clearing up how the settings work for me! Still can't see myself using this mode very often though

I'm still learning my canyon pedal! Its great!

It would be even more useful and precise if a booster or a volume pedal was used before Canyon and sensitivity was low, so that whenever you want something to repeat, hit on the booster or turn up the volume and play the accompaniment without the boost. I might try that if I get this pedal eventually.

I just realized you could have an arpegiator pedal after it, like the arpanoid or the pitch step mode from the mod 11. It may work like the hold function from synthesisers like the Juno. Gonna try that.

Mine does not operate properly. I have the knobs at the levels you show and it’s just a dry signal. It happened on a used and brand new Canyon. Any clue?

So, I play classical guitar and trying to find a gear which can give me looping feature as well as reverb, delay effects as well. I'm now confused that whether it's a good choice to buy this EHX Canyon to use both looping and effects or should I go for just Boss Rc 30 / 5.

Just got this pedal, great fun but I cannot get anything out of the S/H setting other than dry signal (i.e. no held sample!). Anyone else encountered this or have any tips? Thanks :)

So if I want to do a more ambient sample and hold thing (like the big sky freeze) could you do it with this? Start with high sensitivity, swell on a chord and then turn to low sensitivity?

Hi, a couple of questions about secondary knobs function. For example... When i turn knobs in secondary mode, does this changed settings remain in the standard mode when i return to it or just stay in that secondary mode? I ask this because of chance to ruin or screw up default settings in standard mode with messing in secondary, without memory how it was before messing with controls in secondary mode. Further more, does the pedal memorize the knob position of the settings in the secondary mode when you return to it later, or behave in „one time only“ manner? To be more specific, when turn knobs in some way in the secondary mode, then return to normal, turn the knobs in a different position, then return to secondary, the sound remains like I leave it before returning to normal mode or apply automatically the new position of knobs, which I change in mean time, to sound? Both questions are about same thing with different approach. And one more thing ... Does pedal change, in any way, original, dry sound of an instrument when engaged? I mean both on first stroke (first note or chord than you strike) and delayed, repeated one? Or there are no changes in continuity, tone of sound, delayed or not? Apologize for so mush data and questioning. Please help. Thx in advance!

Use canyon with synth 9 pedal,.. Whoa!

Is this similar to what Tiny Moving Parts frontman does? Can I have it repeat for a second and turn it off right away? That's a neat effect in their songs.
